The Senior Manager of Influencer Vetting & Brand Safety will be responsible for establishing and embedding the governance frameworks, guardrails, and guidelines essential for ensuring brand safety within the influencer marketing space. The role will closely partner with both the global vetting agency and local market teams to implement stringent vetting processes and ensure the integrity of influencer partnerships across all markets.
This position will play a crucial role in mitigating risk to the company's brands, ensuring influencers align with brand values, and helping to foster a secure environment for brand partnerships in a rapidly evolving digital landscape.

Responsibilities
Establish and Embed Governance Framework:
- Lead the creation, implementation, and ongoing management of a comprehensive governance framework that ensures all influencer marketing efforts adhere to brand safety standards.
- Develop global brand safety guardrails, guidelines, and playbooks that will provide clear direction to local market teams on how to mitigate potential risks when working with influencers.
Ongoing Vetting and Monitoring:
- Oversee the vetting of influencers at every level (nano, micro, macro, celebrity) to ensure compliance with company values and brand safety protocols.
- Continuously monitor influencer partnerships and proactively address any risks that may arise, ensuring a seamless and secure influencer engagement process.
- Act as the central point of contact for all global and local teams regarding vetting and safety concerns.
Partnership with Agencies & Local Markets:
- Collaborate with the global vetting agency to ensure a consistent and thorough vetting process across markets.
- Support local market teams by providing guidance, tools, and frameworks to help them vet influencers effectively at a regional level, maintaining consistency in quality and compliance.
- Build and maintain strong partnerships with local agencies and ensure alignment with global vetting guidelines.
Brand Safety Training & Support:
- Develop and deliver training programs and workshops for local marketing teams on how to use the governance framework and brand safety tools effectively.
- Serve as an advisor to internal stakeholders, including legal and compliance teams, to ensure that vetting and brand safety policies are aligned with broader corporate governance requirements.
Compliance & Risk Management:
- Ensure adherence to all legal and regulatory requirements, including FTC guidelines and GDPR, across all influencer partnerships.
- Implement and manage processes for crisis management and quick escalation of risks or issues related to influencer behavior or content.
Data and Reporting:
- Regularly report to senior leadership on the performance of the vetting process, brand safety measures, and any critical issues that have arisen.
- Collaborate with the analytics team to track and monitor the effectiveness of governance frameworks and ensure continuous improvement.
Compensation and Benefits:
- The expected compensation range for this position is between $118,700 - $198,800.

- Bonus based on performance and eligibility target payout is 15% of annual salary paid out annually.

Qualifications
Education/Experience:
- 7+ years of experience in digital marketing, legal compliance, risk management, or brand safety roles, preferably in a global environment.
- Experience with influencer marketing, social media platforms, and influencer vetting tools is essential.
- Familiarity with legal and regulatory standards for digital and social media marketing, such as FTC guidelines, GDPR, and content moderation.
Technical Skills:
- Proficient in influencer marketing platforms (e.g., CreatorIQ, Captiv8) and social monitoring tools.
- Experience with crisis management, escalation procedures, and brand safety tools or technology.
Soft Skills:
- Excellent attention to detail, with a deep understanding of brand integrity and risk mitigation.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to work across geographies and functions, ensuring alignment with global guidelines.
- Collaborative mindset, able to partner effectively with global and local teams as well as external agencies.
Key Differentiators:
- Proven ability to create and implement governance frameworks and processes on a global scale.
- Experience in navigating legal, regulatory, and compliance challenges in the influencer space.
- Strong crisis management experience and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
Deliverables:
- Fully established global vetting and brand safety governance framework within the first 6 months.
- Consistent vetting processes and brand safety guidelines implemented across all regions by end of year.
- Regular training and support provided to global and local teams to ensure adherence to governance processes.
