Overview
This role will carry out developments in flavours & seasonings to disrupt current models of development & sroucing in order to unlock global problems to solve in delivering flavour advantage to consumers. This role is critical to accelerating work within the Flavor Experiences pillar of Portfolio of the Future.
This role provides leadership in planning and executing complex technical development projects, working to deliver high business priorities on a global scale and leading to the delivery of novel approaches to delivering flavour advantage through our products. The incumbent will generate compelling applications of novel flavour ingredient technologies and flavour delivery processes to drive their adoption globally. Scope includes everything from early stage prototyping through to developing specifications and ensuring flawless commercialisation in partnership with sector teams.Working against project goals defined by role manager, the incumbent will collaborate with technical colleagues and strategic 3rd party vendors on development, and be required to prepare and present plans and updates to stakeholders and senior leaders. Other requirements include direction of sensory, consumer and analytical testing.

Responsibilities
- Provide thought leadership in scoping opportunities & challenges within defined field, including alignment of consumer & business problems to solve with global relevance
- Scout for technical unlocks & insights within Flavour S&T, across global F&S sector teams and from vendors.
- Plan development work to translate technical unlocks & insights into novel flavour & seasoning systems to address flavour problems to solve.
- Execute development plans through a combination of direct lab work and directing work of strategic partners (e.g. vendors) through effective briefs.
- Proactively communicate project plans & progress to stakeholders & leaders in order to ensure relevance of project outputs to business needs and identify landing zones for deployment.
- Ensure that sensory, consumer & analytical testing is carried out on projects in line with best practice and targeted to driving commercial impact of work.
- Partner with cross-functional peers to deliver lead propositions to market flawlessly.
Compensation and Benefits
- The expected compensation range for this position is between $69,900 - $117,000
- Location, confirmed job-related skills, experience, and education will be considered in setting actual starting salary. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range during the hiring process
- Bonus based on performance and eligibility target payout is 5% of annual salary paid out annually
- Paid time off subject to eligibility, including paid parental leave, vacation, sick, and bereavement

Qualifications
- BSc in Food Science or related discipline
- Product Development experience in the Food Industry (minimum 2 years)
- Experience in delivery of R&D within a global matrix organization, displaying drive for results, ability to lead and collaborate with colleagues, and influence decisions through effective stakeholder communication
- Ability to communicate ideas and approaches effectively to peers and senior colleagues
