The Food Experience & Product Function Sr. Manager role will work across geographies to deliver solutions for the core salty portfolio, with emphasis on tortilla chip (Doritos) products. This position will be expected to collaborate within and across all Function R&D teams, key regions, and platform leaders to lead the creation of end to end product development technical solutions guided by consumer wants and needs and regional business problems to solve. The role is expected to technically manage programming and influence agendas across geographies as well as lead a team to deliver results.
Responsibilities
- Leads the technical brand management of Doritos (tortilla chips) to ensure consumer driven competitive advantage opportunity for all markets.
- Vet technical feasibility and develop solutions for tortilla chips with forward compatibility in mind. Enable advantaged capabilities &/or product innovation for multi-regional deployment across PepsiCo. Provide a suite of options with associated, articulated trade offs for consideration.
- Contribute to crafting and delivering actionable science & technology recommendations through phase gate governed program chartered for tortilla chips.
- Build strong partnerships with Region, Process, Ingredient, Flavor/Seasoning and Packaging Functional teams to deliver expected needs and requirements (specifications, playbooks, etc.) to enable successful implementation.
- Apply in-depth technical knowledge and understanding of business drivers to deliver results across multiple projects by gaining experience in global and diverse perspectives
- Provide technical leadership management of 2-3 associates to develop bench talent and individual growth.
- Overall management of Projects, Intellectual Property & Budgets associated with TC Product Function Programming
Compensation & Benefits:
- The expected compensation range for this position is between $118,700 - $198,800
- Location, confirmed job-related skills, experience, and education will be considered in setting actual starting salary. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range during the hiring process
- Bonus based on performance and eligibility target payout is 15% of annual salary paid out annually
- Paid time off subject to eligibility, including paid parental leave, vacation, sick, and bereavement

Qualifications
- BS Degree or higher in Food Science or relevant fields, MS or higher preferred
- Minimum 7-12 years industrial R&D food & beverage experience with at least 3yrs in the food industry (total 10+yrs preferred)
- Significant experience in consumer understanding and engagement across methodologies
- Key understanding and background in technical brand stewardship for well-established brands with global reach
- Excellent leadership, communication, talent management and interpersonal skills
- Demonstrates business acumen and experience partnering with senior leaders across key functional areas both inside and outside of R&D organization
- Results oriented people leader with proven ability to drive the organization towards achievement.
