Overview

The Quality Manager is responsible for ensuring the food safety and the overall quality of ingredients and food products in accordance with PBG standards and ensures product integrity. This individual must set quality assurance standards and align the organization to achieve these standards. The Quality Manager is responsible for managing the lab technicians, syrup blenders, sanitation crew and the development of the quality team on quality standards.

The Quality Manager will Set the "New Standard for Excellence" through out our organization. This will be achieved by being " Great" at doing the "Basics": Personal Safety, Food Safety, Quality, Service and Cost.

The Quality Manager is designated to cover for the absence of Quality Supervisors. The Quality Manager is also designated to cover for all Food Safety responsibilities in absence of a plant Manager.

  • Coordinate the training of the Food Safety Team, as the Food Safety Manager.
  • Provides technical and process knowledge for water treatment / waste water, product batching product testing, package testing, sanitation and supplier capability.
  • Protect Pepsi-Cola Trademark and ensure product integrity.
  • Monitor and develop corrective action plans to improve quality and consumer performance.
  • Oversee regulatory compliance.
  • Coach and train Quality personnel to develop leadership, technical competence and effectively utilize system tools.
  • Manage internal audit program and compliance to GMPs.
  • Establish and maintain communication with HQ Quality.
  • Align operations on quality standards.
  • Manage external audits.
  • Monitor category compliance.
  • Ensure PBC standard lab is implemented.
  • Ensure compliance with Health & Safety regulations.
  • Order and Manage inventory levels of raw materials such as: concentrate, HFCS, CO2, and nitrogen.

Compensation and Benefits:

  • The expected compensation range for this position is between $85,200 - $142,650 based on a full-time schedule.
  • Location, confirmed job-related skills and experience will be considered in setting actual starting salary.
  • Bonus based on performance and eligibility; target payout is 12% of annual salary paid out annually.
  • Paid time off subject to eligibility, including paid parental leave, vacation, sick, and bereavement.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science in Food Science or Chemical Engineering or related field.
  • 5 years of food or beverage experience.
  • 2 years supervisory experience
  • Computer literate in Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
  • Strong Analytical Capability
  • Understands statistics and can coach statistical principles
  • Microbiology and sanitation background
  • Ability to lead and influence others
  • Understands GMP requirements
