Overview

Job Title: Quality and Food Safety Manager

Employer: Frito Lay, Inc.

Location: 7701 Legacy Dr., Plano, Texas, 75024

Responsibilities

Duties: Support deployment, integration, training, and organizational change for new projects. Generate and champion new quality and food safety ideas and projects. Lead quality, food safety, and food security compliance for selected manufacturing locations. Conduct assessments of assigned manufacturing plants and assure compliance to established procedures, programs, and requirements. Utilize statistical methods to identify and track process capability and guide manufacturing correction of performance gaps. Identify and develop corrective and preventative action plans (CAPA) for product quality, food safety, or consumer satisfaction issues. Identify and drive business process changes and the impact. Master quality systems to provide leadership, analysis and insights into the key performance metrics.

Qualifications

Job Requirements: Bachelor's degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in Chemical Engineering or Food Science and five (5) years of experience in job offered or related roles OR Master's degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in Chemical Engineering or Food Science and three (3) years of experience in the job offered or related role. Must have five (5) years (or 3 with Master's) of experience with: Food Company Experience in Quality; Food Safety and Plant Operations; Quality Management Systems GFSI Schemes and ISO; managing multiple projects and creating and fostering strong business relationships. Must have four (4) years (or 3 with Master's) of experience with: SPC, statistical analysis. Must have three (3) years of experience with: Leadership Skills; Influencing various stakeholders towards common goals; and Conflict Management and Risk Management. Must have one (1) years of experience with: Regulatory knowledge - FDA, and GMP. Must have six (6) months of experience with SAP- Quality Management.

Travel required 30% U.S. and Canada.

Salary: $149,573 to $217,900 / year
