Overview

The Performance& Productivity (P&P) Associate Manager is accountable for leading productivity and manufacturing performance for the PepsiCo Global Concentrate Solutions (PGCS) plant in Arlington, TX. This role is responsible to set the productivity agenda of the plant, ensuring savings from ingredient, MOH and S&D initiatives per PGCS targets. Productivity annual savings in Arlington range between $1MM to $1.2MM USD. The role is also responsible for driving the manufacturing performance agenda for the site, as the key link between the site and headquarters on key programs to improve True Efficiency, reduction of waste (Yield Loss & Usage), and drive the best practice sharing and adoption workstreams.

The P&P Associate Manager reports to the Arlington Plant Director, and the role will lead 1-2 direct reports.

Responsibilities

PRODUCTIVITY

  • Drive the Productivity agenda for Arlington Plant removing waste from the process, optimizing production output, and supporting investment for growth to deliver a reduction in the cost base. Annual Productivity target for Arlington Concentrate circa $1mm to $1.2mm.
  • Own productivity pipeline development for the Concentrate business in Arlington worth 3x the annual productivity target. Work with Global PGCS team to partner with our customers and stakeholders to evaluate opportunities and prioritize areas of focus.
  • Influence project selection through on-going discussions with sponsors and stakeholders. Own the monthly Productivity review meetings for Arlington Operations. Work in partnership with Finance to track productivity savings and report in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Deliver individual productivity projects or programs for PGCS to the value of over $200m annually that are Local and / or Global.

LEAN SIX SIGMA

  • Manage the LSS training platform for PGCS. Coordinate training plans, schedule, logistics. Work with the PepsiCo Global LSS team to share resources.
  • Teach at PGCS LSS training sessions which will include attendees from PGCS global roles as well as Arlington.
  • Mentoring up to 20+ LSS Belts and their sponsors per year, from a diverse cross section of the business; Operations, Supply Chain, Quality, Finance, R&D, etc.
  • Ensure minimum 90% activation in KL and GB, delivering at least 5% in productivity projects value through LSS.

PERFORMANCE

  • Work closely with the Performance Global team to develop the 1) KPIs dashboard in sync with the Ops vision and to 2) Partner with the Ops lead to improve Ops performance metrics like TE/NE, Yield /Usage and Reserves.

BUSINESS SUPPORT

  • Lead LSS facilitation at Kaizen events, brainstorming sessions, workshops for PGCS in Arlington, at other PGCS locations and with other global PepsiCo teams (packaging team, R&D team, various sectors, individual bottling plants, etc.).
  • Provide business analysis support and knowledge to management and project teams; developing models for AOP, business planning and capacity modelling. The transformation agenda has been a major undertaking in the past 2 years, with a large amount of acumen needed to track the many changes happening within the business whilst having the foresight to call out the impact of those changes.
  • Act as a Change Agent in driving innovation and re-engineering to new and existing processes. Drive solutions and improvements delivering traceability and cost saving analysis, by applying lean tools to projects in Operations and Logistics.
  • Work with Global PGCS teams in determining capacity and costs relating to global concentrate supply scenarios.
  • Demonstrate the impact of growing complexity in our business to plant stakeholders and share plan as to how we are mitigating same - internal management, PGCS senior management & PepsiCo senior management.

Compensation and Benefits:

  • The expected compensation range for this position is between $89,000 - $135,459.
  • Location, confirmed job-related skills, experience, and education will be considered in setting actual starting salary. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range during the hiring process.
  • Bonus based on performance and eligibility target payout is 10% of annual salary paid out annually.
  • Paid time off subject to eligibility, including paid parental leave, vacation, sick, and bereavement.

Qualifications

Experience:

  • 8 or more years in Engineering, R&D, Operations, Supply Chain, Logistics, or Quality.
  • Previous people leadership experience is preferred.
  • Project management lead skills with a culture of continued improvement and process orientation looking for functional excellence.
  • Coaching and training capacity: for Kaizen Leader & Green Belt coaching & training.
  • Exposure to working in a cross-cultural environment.
  • Leverage knowledge of production, engineering, quality and safety to meet or exceed customer expectations while delivering lowest system cost, highest quality products in a safe working environment.
  • Leadership of significant complex projects within a plant environment or outside from it.
  • Written and verbal skills required to drive communication and change both at the senior leadership and front-line levels of the organization.
  • Change management mindset, taking special care in communication with stakeholders and explaining the why's, always been opened to hear. all the pros and cons, giving support to overcome the changes and help to solve non advertised inconvenient associated.
  • For this role is crucial to be collaborative, analytic, open minded, inspire confidence and give support.
