What PepsiCo Enterprise Data Operations does:

  • Maintain a predictable, transparent, global operating rhythm that ensures always-on access to high-quality data for stakeholders across the company
  • Responsible for day-to-day data collection, transportation, maintenance/curation, and access to the PepsiCo corporate data asset
  • Work cross-functionally across the enterprise to centralize data and standardize it for use by business, data science or other stakeholders
  • Act as a capability / enabling function across the business for day-to-day needs and innovation
  • Increase awareness about available data and democratize access to it across the company

As a Manager of the D+Ai PMO team, you will play a key role synchronizing activities inside the Enterprise Data Operations (EDO) organization and across other teams. You will be responsible for managing large scale projects, and work streams that span a globally distributed organization. This role will specifically support the GIBP FLNA (Global Integrated Business Planning, Frito-Lay North America) program. To do this you will oversee the planning and release of Global and D+AI products through the entire product development lifecycle. You will manage project plans across departments, inform the service roadmap and establish Agile ways-of-working for the Data Product Management organization. You will build relationships within the team and across the company to make sure the right contacts are identified for the right projects and are connected to the appropriate leaders within the D+Ai organization. You will also be responsible for record-keeping and tracking operating metrics and KPIs for the department.

Responsibilities

Key Accountabilities:

  • Develop and manage all aspects of the project engagement from planning, external vendor relationships, communications, resources, budget, change, risks, and issues
  • Strong interpersonal skills resulting in exceptional rapport with people. Proven success in initiating, promoting, and maintaining strong interpersonal relations, proactively drives impact and engagement while bringing others along
  • Collaborate with internal clients to identify and define project requirements, scope, and objectives
  • Ensure that projects and programs are proceeding according to scope, schedule, budget, and quality standards
  • Provide status reporting regarding project milestones, deliverable, dependencies, risks, and issues, being communicating across leadership
  • Leverage AzureDevOps (ADO), KPIs and dashboard to document, track and report on progress, risk, impediments and accomplishments
  • Frequent communication with senior leadership to shape and deliver on the product roadmap, and requires to nimbly switch between strategic and tactical initiatives to achieve technical, and business goals
  • Directly manage technical professionals in the execution of projects
  • Coaches the project team members in self-management and cross-functionality, removes barriers between stakeholders and project teams
  • Guides team in time estimating practices and facilitates team estimates engineering development projects and facilitates sprint releases
  • Ability to align multiple priorities and work in a fast-paced environment

Compensation and Benefits:

  • The expected compensation range for this position is between $125,000 - $217,500 based on a full-time schedule.
  • Location, confirmed job-related skills and experience will be considered in setting actual starting salary.
  • Bonus based on performance and eligibility; target payout is 12% of annual salary paid out annually.
  • Paid time off subject to eligibility, including paid parental leave, vacation, sick, and bereavement.

Qualifications

  • 8+ years project management or consulting experience
  • Enthusiastic about solving complex business problems that influence reliability and performance
  • Experience managing projects distributed across teams
  • Agile and SAFe certifications, PMP certification a plus
  • Expert leveraging Azure DevOps (ADO) to manage a global backlog
  • BA or BS required

Skills, Abilities, Knowledge:

  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, along with the ability to influence and demonstrate confidence in communications with senior level management.
  • Proven track record of leading, mentoring data teams.
  • 8+ years of strong technical program management experience in agile environment
  • Scrum master certification or PMI-ACP certification a must
  • Strong change manager. Comfortable with change, especially that which arises through company growth. Able to lead a team effectively through times of change.
  • Adept at learning and applying new technologies and solving new problems.
  • Ability to understand and translate business requirements into data and technical requirements.
  • High degree of organization and ability to manage multiple, competing projects and priorities simultaneously.
  • Positive and flexible attitude to enable adjusting to different needs in an ever-changing environment.
  • Strong leadership, organizational and interpersonal skills; comfortable managing trade-offs.
  • Foster a team culture of accountability, communication, and self-management.
  • Proactively drives impact and engagement while bringing others along.
  • Consistently attain/exceed individual and team goals
  • Ability to guide others without direct authority in a matrixed environment.

Differentiating Competencies Required:

  • Strong communications, interpersonal, negotiation and decision-making skill
  • Executive presence
  • Certifications: PMP, CSM, SA 5.0
  • Overall ERP system experience a plus (SAP, Oracle, etc.)
  • Highly influential and having the ability to educate challenging stakeholders on the role of data and its purpose in the business.
  • Understands both the engineering and business side of the Data Products released.
  • Places the user in the center of decision making.
  • Teams up and collaborates for speed, agility, and innovation.
  • Experience with and embraces agile methodologies.
  • Strong negotiation and decision-making skill.
  • Experience working with globally distributed teams.
