Overview

Maintenance Planner

Working Shift: Mon - Fri (some weekends as needed).
Working Hours: 06:00 a.m - 02:30 p.m.

Full time and Full on-site

Responsibilities

  • Develops the down day plan and works with the operations team to ensure priority work is planned
  • Attends production planning meetings
  • Coordinates work order scheduling with down-day lead for all types of work orders and assigning the right people to do the jobs
  • Schedules corrective/preventative/emergency/contractor work based off work order backlog and priority listed on work orders
  • Owns approval meeting's and processes maintenance work requests from operations and mechanics
  • Approves/Rejects
  • Reaches out to requester when more information is required
  • Sets priority with maint/ops leadership
  • Sets work order status based on if parts are required or not
  • Schedule and lead daily maintenance meetings for assigned areas of responsibility to communicate jobs that have been planned and pre-decided with operations
  • Coordinate effort on project work with down day events as well as contractors and internal employees
  • Ensure work that impacts compliance of HSE and other critical programs are planned and completed with no exception
  • Adheres to parts kitting process to ensure no work order is placed under "RTS/Scheduled" status without parts to prevent Techs from searching for parts that are tied to planned work orders
  • Maintains new PM pillar tools such as the X-matrix, down day work lists, rebuild lists, and schedule techs for drumbeats
  • Update PM's with the Techs/Leads/Sups to ensure the most up to date and highest priority tasks are being completed as a part of the PM days, as well as the PM instructions are up to date and whether DT is required or not required
  • Work with mechanics and down-day lead to identify parts necessary to complete jobs, request parts to be expedited if necessary to meet the priority placed on the work request via requisitions
  • Set up proper BOM's (Bill of Materials) as needed if not included in Infor CMMS when setting up job plans
  • Work with contractors to develop work scope and quote packages for vendor work and conduct pre-execution meetings as needed
  • Schedule, coordinate, and procure all sub-contractor assistance, rental equipment, and/or specialty tools necessary to execute the job planned
  • Stage all parts for jobs planned and return all unused parts to stores at the completion of all planned jobs
  • Communicate the job plan to supervisors prior to the day work is scheduled to be executed. Pass on the job packets and identify staging location of all parts to the area managers
  • Communicate schedule to operations and maintenance supervision. Gain agreement for the published schedule and do our best to ensure compliance
  • Modify stored job plans per feedback received from mechanics that executed the job
  • Ensure all repairable parts removed from plant during planned jobs are sent to repair shop
  • Work with other planners for sharing task lists and stored plans to leverage knowledge where possible to ensure maximum resource utilization and prudent cost controls are used
  • Use manuals, drawings, sketches, digital cameras and knowledge obtained through on-the-job experience to prepare manpower estimates and materials, special tooling, and equipment lists necessary for maintenance employees to properly perform their assigned tasks
  • Send out maintenance Score cards and support PM pilar activities
  • Perform other related duties as designated by supervision

Compensation & Benefits:

  • The expected compensation range for this position is between $62,000 - $67,000 per year.
  • Location, confirmed job-related skills and experience will be considered in setting actual starting salary
  • Paid time off subject to eligibility, including paid parental leave, vacation, sick, and bereavement

Qualifications

  • High school diploma
  • Experience as an engineering and/or maintenance technician or equivalent experience
  • Strong technical knowledge and project management
  • Basic knowledge of CMMS operation and principles
  • Good oral/written communication skills including presentation
  • SAP knowledge for scheduling is preferred
  • Ability to work rotating schedule
  • Ability to detail plan and schedule internal resources and contractors necessary to complete the required work
  • Able to define and articulate plans and scope; schedule, set goals, determine priorities, and meet target dates
  • Ability to get along with all groups of people to drive results
  • Microsoft Suite including Excel comprehension preferred
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to get results through mentoring others, effective coaching, leading a team-based approach to decision-making
  • This position is limited to persons with indefinite right to work in the United States
  • Must have a valid driver's license
  • Safe driving record strongly preferred
