The Category Sr. Analyst is responsible for providing both fact and insights-based solutions that will drive growth for Gatorade Portfolio's Small and Large Format business and respective retailer categories. They will utilize understanding of product assortment to drive insights that lead to actions, and that in turn, will help address both PepsiCo's and the customer's problems to solve. They will work closely with Sales Strategy and Sales teams to influence and guide decisions toward profitable category growth, expanding category insights partnership with retailers, and reinforcing Gatorade's position as the thought leader for the LRB Cold Vault.

Responsibilities

  • Knowledge and experience in syndicated POS, Household Panel, and/or Retailer Shopper Card data
  • Manage multiple syndicated data sources (e.g. IRI/Nielsen, Kantar Rich Mix, Stratum, etc.) to monitor and diagnose brand & business issues and make actionable recommendations
  • Leverage data and insights to develop optimized space and assortment strategies; work with Demand Accelerator partners to build and validate planograms
  • Influence customers through data and insights to grow both their business and PepsiCo's business
  • Regularly present learnings and insights to internal partners as a basis for strategic decision making and planning across marketing initiatives, strategic business plan development
  • Develop and manage shelving/assortment analytical tools and business performance dashboards
  • Travel Requirements: Limited to National or Large Team Meetings

Compensation and Benefits:

  • The expected compensation range for this position is between $79,800 - $133,450.
  • Location, confirmed job-related skills, experience, and education will be considered in setting actual starting salary. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range during the hiring process.
  • Bonus based on performance and eligibility target payout is 8% of annual salary paid out annually.
  • Paid time off subject to eligibility, including paid parental leave, vacation, sick, and bereavement.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience
  • 3+ years of relevant insights and analytic experience with a consumer-packaged goods company or syndicated data vendor
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with ability to translate complex data into actionable insights
  • Experience with syndicated data sources (e.g. IRI/Nielsen, Circana)
  • Must have the ability to effectively communicate across all levels in the organization in a motivating, influencing manner
  • Ability to develop strong relationships with internal partners to drive results and leverage best in class insights and tools
  • Must be capable of managing multiple projects at once and able to prioritize and adapt quickly
  • Requires a high level of analytical, critical thinking, and problem solving skills as well as great attention to detail
  • Must be highly proficient with PowerPoint and Excel
  • Experience with JDA is a plus
