Overview

The purpose of this role is to provide team management and subject matter expertise support to fix defects and complete minor enhancement for our Replenishment Planning solution as part of the SAP PGT solution. This role is customer-facing and requires signicant daily collaboration with the PBNA Supply Chain Planners and Supply Chain Center of Excellence. This role will have multiple direct reports, both employees and contractors all with a common objective to maintain our Service Level Agreements. Direct reports will be based in multiple geographies - primarily US and India.

Responsibilities

System Stability and Performance Monitoring:

  • Continuously monitor the SAP Replenishment and Response solution to ensure system stability, high availability, and optimal performance. This includes tracking key performance indicators (KPIs) and addressing any performance issues proactively.

Post-Go-Live Support and Issue Resolution:

  • Provide tiered support to address and resolve post-go-live incidents, bugs, and issues. This includes coordinating with SAP support teams and ensuring a smooth resolution process while minimizing downtime.

Enhancements and Continuous Improvement:

  • Identify opportunities for system improvements and lead the implementation of enhancements to optimize replenishment processes and response times. Gather user feedback, prioritize feature requests, and manage the development of system upgrades.

Stakeholder Communication and Collaboration:

  • Act as the primary liaison between business users, technical teams, and external vendors, ensuring clear communication of system changes, enhancements, and support-related matters. Keep stakeholders informed on deployment schedules, updates, and any system changes.

Deployment Planning and Coordination:

  • Oversee the deployment of the SAP solution across additional sites in the US and Canada, ensuring that each deployment is carefully planned, tested, and executed. Coordinate resources and timelines with local teams and project stakeholders.

Training and Knowledge Transfer:

  • Develop and deliver ongoing training programs for team of direct and matrix reports, ensuring they are fully equipped to use the solution effectively.

Data Integrity and Quality Assurance:

  • Ensure the accuracy and integrity of data within the SAP system by establishing and enforcing data quality standards. Collaborate with data teams to conduct regular audits and resolve any data-related discrepancies.

Change Management and Version Control:

  • Implement robust change management processes to ensure that system changes, updates, and patches are managed in a controlled environment. Ensure proper version control, testing, and documentation of all changes.

Compliance and Security:

  • Ensure the solution adheres to relevant regulatory, security, and compliance standards, especially considering cross-border deployments in the US and Canada. Implement and monitor security protocols to safeguard sensitive data.

Vendor and Contract Management:

  • Manage relationships with SAP and other external vendors involved in the system's maintenance and enhancement. Negotiate service level agreements (SLAs), track performance, and ensure contractual obligations are met

Compensation & Benefits:

  • The expected compensation range for this position is between $102,800 - $172,100.
  • Location, confirmed job-related skills, experience, and education will be considered in setting actual starting salary. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range during the hiring process.
  • Bonus based on performance and eligibility target payout is 12% of annual salary paid out annually.
  • Paid time off subject to eligibility, including paid parental leave, vacation, sick, and bereavement.

Qualifications

SAP Expertise:

  • In-depth knowledge and hands-on experience with SAP, specifically in SAP Integrated Business Planning (IBP) or SAP Advanced Planning and Optimization (APO) including deep knowledge in Supply Planning solution components, inputs, outputs, variables, and expected results
  • Familiarity with the deployment, configuration, and customization of SAP solutions in a supply chain or inventory management context.

Project Management Skills:

  • Proven experience in project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall) to lead post-go-live deployments and enhancements across multiple sites
  • Ability to manage project timelines, budgets, resources, and stakeholder expectations effectively.

Change Management:

  • Strong change management and organizational skills to ensure smooth adoption of SAP processes across different sites and manage change requests or system updates
  • Ability to conduct impact analysis and manage the integration of new functionalities or upgrades.

Problem Solving and Analytical Skills:

  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills to identify, diagnose, and resolve system issues and ensure continuous system improvements.
  • Ability to analyze system performance data and supply chain metrics to identify inefficiencies or opportunities for improvement.

Vendor Management:

  • Experience in managing relationships with third-party vendors, including SAP support and consulting partners, ensuring SLAs are met and overseeing external resources or contractors.

Communication and Collaboration:

  • Excellent communication skills to liaise effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. This includes the ability to translate complex technical issues into business terms and vice versa.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including supply chain, logistics, and warehouse management teams.

Team Leadership and Development:

  • Leadership experience in building and managing IT teams, providing mentorship, and supporting the development of technical talent.
  • Strong team collaboration skills to foster a cooperative and productive working environment.

Data Management and Quality Assurance:

  • Knowledge of data governance, data quality management, and the ability to oversee audits, system controls, and data migration efforts.
  • Experience in ensuring the integrity of master data and understanding of enterprise resource planning (ERP) data structures

Security and Compliance:

  • Experience with IT security protocols and compliance standards, especially when dealing with sensitive supply chain data and cross-border deployments.
  • Familiarity with relevant regulatory requirements in the US and Canada, ensuring the solution meets compliance guidelines

Differentiating Competencies Required:

  • PepsiCo or similar Food and Beverage Industry experience is preferred
  • SAP Certifications (e.g., SAP Certified Application Professional in Supply Chain Management or SAP Replenishment Planning) are a must.
  • PMP, PRINCE2, or other Project Management Certifications are preferred
  • ITIL or similar Service Management Certifications are preferred
  • Managing Post-Go-Live Issues: System bugs, data inconsistencies, and user adoption problems after go-live
  • Multi-Site Deployment Complexity: Coordinating deployments across geographically dispersed sites with varying local requirements.
  • Change Management and User Adoption: Resistance to new processes and system usage from employees accustomed to legacy systems.
  • Data Integrity and Quality: Ensuring accurate data migration and maintaining data quality post-deployment.
  • Balancing System Standardization vs. Customization: Maintaining a standardized SAP solution while accommodating local business needs.
  • Performance Optimization Across Sites: Ensuring consistent system performance across sites with varying levels of infrastructure.
  • Coordination Across Cross-Functional Teams: Aligning diverse teams with different priorities and levels of technical expertise.
  • Regulatory and Compliance Challenges: Navigating different regulatory frameworks in the US and Canada.
  • Vendor and Third-Party Management: Managing SAP and third-party vendors for support, upgrades, and customizations.
  • Scalability and Future-Proofing: Ensuring the solution is scalable and adaptable to evolving business needs.
