Overview
The Economic Development Senior Analyst will play a crucial role in supporting compliance, conducting research, and driving process improvements. This position requires a detail-oriented and analytical individual who can effectively manage multiple projects and collaborate with various stakeholders. The role is responsible for ensuring that PepsiCo primarily in North America and expand to support rest of world monetizes the economic development agreements with various state and local agencies. The portfolio of agreements is valued at $300 million of the annual benefit is $20 million P&L
Responsibilities
Compliance Support:
- Ensure all economic development activities comply with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Monitor and report on compliance issues, providing recommendations for corrective actions.
- Develop and maintain compliance documentation and records.
- Each compliance report is specific to the local or state agency and it is subject to an external audit by the Agency. The position reports to the Manager of Economic Development

Research:
- Conduct in-depth research on economic trends, market conditions, and policy changes.
- Analyze data to identify opportunities and challenges for economic development.
- Prepare comprehensive reports and presentations to communicate research findings.
Process Improvements:
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
- Collaborate with team members to streamline workflows and optimize resource utilization.
- Develop and update standard operating procedures (SOPs) for economic development initiatives.
Financial Modeling:
- Develop and maintain financial models to support economic development projects.
- Analyze financial data to forecast economic outcomes and assess project viability.
- Provide financial insights and recommendations to support strategic decision-making.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, such as HR, Payroll, Legal, Tax and Accounting to obtain information to submit to the government agencies as required by legal agreements. Responsible for audits on investments and headcount required by government agencies in connection with negotiated incentives.
Compensation and Benefits:
- The expected compensation range for this position is between $72,500 - $121,300.
- Location, confirmed job-related skills, experience, and education will be considered in setting actual starting salary. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range during the hiring process.
- Bonus based on performance and eligibility target payout is 8% of annual salary paid out annually.
- Paid time off subject to eligibility, including paid parental leave, vacation, sick, and bereavement.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Economics, Business Administration, Finance, Public Policy, or a related field. A Master's degree is preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in economic development, compliance, research, financial modeling, or a related field.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in data analysis and financial modeling tools and software. College degree in Accounting CPA or MBA preferred
