As the Associate Strategist, you will play an integral role in the development and execution of social strategies for PepsiCo's iconic beverage brands. This position will support in building culturally relevant campaigns and driving engagement across a variety of platforms. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to create social-first content, leverage real-time cultural moments, and foster community connections that amplify PepsiCo's brands.

You'll be involved in shaping innovative social strategies, analyzing platform data, and executing campaigns that are both impactful and measurable. As a key member of the social strategy team, your work will ensure PepsiCo stays ahead of digital trends, shaping the future of beverage brand engagement.

Responsibilities

Social Strategy Development and Execution:

  • Support the development of platform-specific social strategies in collaboration with senior strategy leaders.
  • Contribute to the execution of social-first campaigns, ensuring alignment with brand objectives and creative direction.
  • Assist in the creation and maintenance of social playbooks that guide tone, messaging, and visual style for various platforms.
  • Help define audience segments, craft content strategies, and ensure campaigns stay culturally relevant and on-trend.

Content Creation and Engagement

  • Collaborate with creative teams to produce engaging, shareable social content that sparks conversation and fosters community.
  • Assist in the ideation and execution of real-time cultural activations that position brands authentically within trending conversations.
  • Support influencer partnerships by coordinating with the influencer team to amplify brand messaging through creators.
  • Track community engagement and integrate insights to ensure brands remain responsive and connected with their audiences.

Capability Development and Innovation

  • Stay informed about emerging trends, new social platforms, and digital tools to keep PepsiCo at the forefront of social strategy.
  • Support process optimization efforts by helping develop scalable systems for efficient social content and communication.
  • Contribute to the development of capabilities that embed culture-first thinking and innovation into the broader social strategy.

Collaboration and Team Support

  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including creative, analytics, and brand teams, to ensure alignment and execution of social initiatives.
  • Collaborate with senior strategists to lead junior team members, providing guidance on campaign execution and best practices.
  • Assist in the presentation of strategies, campaign results, and performance insights to internal stakeholders

Measurement & Optimization

  • Partner with analytics teams to track social performance metrics, using insights to optimize future campaigns.
  • Support a test-and-learn approach, leveraging data to uncover new opportunities and refine content strategies.
  • Contribute to the development of performance reports that assess the impact of social campaigns and guide future strategy.

Compensation and Benefits:

  • The expected compensation range for this position is between $84,000 - $140,650.
  • Location, confirmed job-related skills, experience, and education will be considered in setting actual starting salary. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range during the hiring process.
  • Bonus based on performance and eligibility target payout is 8% of annual salary paid out annually.
  • Paid time off subject to eligibility, including paid parental leave, vacation, sick, and bereavement.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required, in Marketing/Business. MBA preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant work experience in PR or Marketing such as brand strategy, digital strategy, or content development. Previous roles within Digital marketing or agency experience highly preferred.
  • CPG or food/beverage industry experience a plus, as well as strong passion for storytelling and creative.
  • Strong understanding of social media platforms, trends, and best practices, with experience in developing platform-specific strategies.
  • Ability to analyze social performance and turn insights into actionable strategies.
  • Creative thinker with a keen sense of culturally relevant content and a passion for digital innovation.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Experience with social media analytics tools and data-driven strategy development.
