Overview

Join our PepsiCo Foods North America (PFNA) Potato Team as the Ag Sustainability Reporting Sr. Analyst. In this role you will lead the successful data collection and reporting of all PFNA Potato Chip & Seed annual grower details. You will partner with internal and external partners to train growers and streamline data collection, validation, and reporting. Using strong interpersonal skill-sets you will develop meaningful relationships with our growing partners to further advance PepsiCo's pep+ initiatives. Key accountabilities of this role include:

Responsibilities

  • Sustainable Sourcing
    • Facilitate and support rollout and continuous improvement of the Sustainable Farming Program to maintain 100% sustainably sourced status in PFNA Potatoes.
    • Utilize insights in on-farm practices to communicate to internal team for content development and training opportunities.

  • Lead the annual data collection and reporting for PFNA Potatoes different pep+ initiatives, including but not limited to: GHG, WUE, and Regenerative Ag Acreage.
  • Coordinate with internal data stewards on data collection timing, validation and reporting strategies.
  • Grower Engagement:
    • Act as liaison between PepsiCo and PFNA Potato growers to drive continuous improvement across key dimensions of pep+ initiatives.
    • Use customer service-first skills to train growers and communicate their needs to internal business partners.
  • Regen Ag Roadmaps:
    • Lead the annual renewal of on-farm Regen Ag Roadmaps for PFNA Potato Growers.
    • Coordinate with internal team members to ensure update frequency and quality.
    • Communicate to internal team the common challenges on-farm to tailor training material.
  • Ad-hoc Support:
    • Support of broader Positive Agriculture dimensions may be in-scope for this role given developments in pep+ initiatives.
      1. Building soil health and fertility
      2. Sequestering carbon and reducing emissions
      3. Enriching watershed health
      4. Protecting and enhancing biodiversity
      5. Improving farmer livelihoods

  • Compensation and Benefits:

    • The expected compensation range for this position is between $72,500 - $121,300.
    • Location, confirmed job-related skills, experience, and education will be considered in setting actual starting salary. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range during the hiring process
    • Bonus based on performance and eligibility target payout is 8% of annual salary paid out annually.
    • Paid time off subject to eligibility, including paid parental leave, vacation, sick, and bereavement.

    Qualifications

    Key Education and Experience Required:

    • B.S. in Sustainable Agriculture, Agronomy, Horticulture, Ag Science, Food/Crop Systems, Supply Chain or related fields of study (masters preferred)
    • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in sustainable agriculture, supply chain, ag extension with preference to candidates with potato production experience.
    • Ability to communicate effectively with farmers regarding sustainability and whole-farm agricultural practices and management.
    • In-depth knowledge of measurement tools in sustainability and regenerative ag systems (e.g. Cool Farm Tool)
    • Computer proficiency with Microsoft Suite products - preference, additional experience with data collection tool development or project management
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills with internal and external cross-functional partners.

    Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Other Competencies

    • Effective technical communication skills at grower, commercial and industry levels.
    • Proven customer service excellence with both formal and informal communication.
    • Ability to provide technical expertise, advice, and direction to team members as needed.
    • Thorough knowledge of sustainable fertilizer management and strategies to minimize on-farm GHG intensity.
    • Experience with and demonstrated knowledge of electronic data acquisition and analysis
    • Self-starter with strong drive for results and cross functional team leadership skills in a flexible work environment.
    • Ability to recognize issues, analyze, develop solutions, implement change.
