2nd Shift- SC Quality Control Sr Technician

Overview

Perform required microbiological testing on all finished products produced on the Indianapolis Gatorade High Acid Aseptic Line and ensure compliance to all PepsiCo standards. Work closely with the production team to provide quality support for all tasks performed on the High Acid Aseptic Line including but not limited to production releases, product testing, raw material inspection, finished goods inspection, sanitation inspection, troubleshooting guidance, and innovations.

Responsibilities

  • Perform all required microbiological testing on finished product required for HAA Production
  • Complete all required surface, air, water, and rinse water, microbiological testing requirements for the HAA production Line
  • Complete any additional plating / sampling required due to process deviations or upsets
  • Compile and review all production records necessary for finished product release
  • Conduct trainings with front line employees regarding quality topics / issues
  • Manage all micro requirements for ingredients used in HAA Production
  • Quality Lead for all Innovations on HAA Production Line
  • Lab equipment management and maintenance
  • Provide guidance when troubleshooting HAA Line issues
  • Update production records and documents as necessary
  • Assist Lines 1-8 Microbiologist in the preparation of media and general upkeep and maintenance/cleanliness of the Micro Lab
  • Assist Lines 1-8 Microbiologist in the compliance of the various Micro Sampling Plans
  • Support plantwide TPM Ignite initiatives (i.e DMS Meetings, Pillar Work, etc)

Compensation and Benefits:

  • The expected compensation range for this position is between $53,600 - $80,450
  • Location, confirmed job-related skills, experience, and education will be considered in setting actual starting salary. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range during the hiring process

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree w/ experience with microbiology preferred
  • Food Manufacturing experience with experience working with Low or High Acid Aseptic products preferred
  • Must have good organization and documentation skills
  • Understands written procedures
  • Complete calculations and conversions
  • Must be self-motivated and able to work both independently and in a team-oriented atmosphere
  • Good communication with strong problem-solving skills
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office, Excel, Work, and PowerPoint
  • Must be flexible with work schedule that includes the potential to work weekends, holidays, and occasional overtime as needed
