ABOUT THE ROLE 

Peloton’s Production Management department operates 365 days a year to support our Content team’s initiatives, managing the production in-class specialty content and non-class production shoots. We are a collaborative, fast-paced team focused on partnering with cross-functional stakeholders across the business. To elevate programming and music/partnerships offerings, and manage productions efficiently and resourcefully to support our business goals. 

We are seeking a Senior Manager to join our Content Production Management team. This role will oversee the increasing volume of production requests from development through delivery, ensuring all productions are completed on time, within budget and meet Peloton’s creative vision and quality standards. The Senior Manager will drive efficiency, process improvements and risk management across the department. While most productions are in-house, occasional field work may be required.

The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of broadcast production, including technical, operational and production workflows. This role will collaborate closely with the PT&O (production, technology & operations) teams, producers, instructor strategy, and other various departments. The Senior Manager will report to the Director, Global Production Management & Scheduling, who is based in the UK. The role will be based in our New York City studio office and will be required to report to the office at least 4-5 days per week, with the understanding that team members may occasionally be required to work additional days in the office (including weekends or holidays) or be present at a physical Peloton or other location, in NYC or otherwise, based on team or business needs. 

YOUR DAILY IMPACT AT PELOTON 

Production Management: 

  • Lead and oversee various in-house productions, including Content Programming, Partnerships/Music, Marketing, Apparel, Ecommerce, and Promotional Assets. Occasional field (remote) content initiatives.
  • Oversee the planning and execution of multiple productions, ensuring adherence to global strategies, workflows, and best practices. 
  • Manage the intake of new production requests, ensuring timely and successful project kick-offs.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional senior leaders to align production deliverables with business objectives, contractual agreements, and budget requirements. 
  • Delegate and onboard productions to managers and coordinators, balancing workloads and setting the team up for success. 
  • Monitor and manage production progress, addressing issues promptly and reporting status and risks to the Director of Global Production Management and Scheduling. 

Risk Management: 

  • Assess and mitigate risks related to technical, operational, resource, and timeline constraints, reporting to the Director of Global Production Management and Scheduling. 
  • Make time-sensitive decisions in high-pressure environments, providing clear direction and communication.

Budgeting/Financial Oversight + Vendor Management: 

  • Oversee budgeting and financial aspects of productions, ensuring cost-effective operations while maintaining high production standards. 
  • Collaborate with cross-functional departments to monitor expenses, highlight potential risks, and identify opportunities for cost savings. 
  • Manage vendor relationships, negotiate contracts, and supervise outsourced production services. 

Strategic Planning & Process Improvement: 

  • Develop and implement global strategies and processes to enhance efficiency, communication, and collaboration across the production lifecycle. 
  • Standardize production documentation to drive department branding and consistency. 
  • Continuously engage with studio department managers to understand their production requirements and ensure the future success of projects
  • Leverage prior experience in a live broadcast environment, with a deep understanding of technical, operational, and production workflows, to effectively manage and drive the success of productions. 

Team Leadership & Collaboration: 

  • Report to the Director of Global Production Management and Scheduling, managing the US production management team. 
  • Provide strong leadership, fostering a hardworking, collaborative, passionate, and productive team culture.
  • Commit to a growth mindset, promoting continuous improvement, training, and skill development within the team. 
  • Focus on career pathing and development of direct and indirect reports, serving as a mentor and role model. 
  • Foster an environment of open communication, collaboration, and innovation that values creativity, quick problem-solving, and operational excellence. 
  • Conduct regular team meetings and one-on-ones. 
  • Collaborate closely with the UK Production Manager. 

YOU BRING TO PELOTON 

  • Experienced production manager and people leader with 7+ years of experience in a fast-paced, 24/7 live broadcast environment, ideally in a studio setting. 
  • Deep proficiency in all areas of production management, including technical and operational workflows.
  • Strong cross-functional collaborator, open to feedback and able to provide quick solutions.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple productions simultaneously throughout the production lifecycle, consistently meeting deadlines. 
  • Exceptional organizational, time management, attention to detail, and multitasking skills.
  • Strong ability to create, develop, and distribute industry-standardized production documentation. 
  • Forward-thinking and proactive, with the capability to support and guide production managers and coordinators who are frequently required to be more reactive. 
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal. 
  • Proficient with Google Applications, Microsoft Office Suite, and production/project management software.

The base salary range represents the low and high end of the anticipated salary range for this position based at our New York City headquarters. The actual base salary offered for this position will depend on numerous factors including individual performance, business objectives, and if the location for the job changes. Base Salary Range
$167,500$217,600 USD
