Peloton Interactive, Inc. seeks Hardware Reliability Engineer in New York, NY:

Job Duties: Use physics-of-failure and statistical approaches to craft and maintain hardware validation test plans for new product development and sustaining engineering activities to demonstrate product functionality, reliability, and safety. Perform product verification and validation with off-the-shelf testing equipment as well as custom built machinery. Use statistical tools and models to analyze the reliability of products and connect to business goals such as warranty rates. Write test reports and communicate results to broader technical team. Communicate and collaborate with a global team (NY, Seattle, Taiwan) through test reports and status updates.  Design and build custom automated test rigs/fixtures to interact with various pieces of exercise equipment. Work closely with technicians to implement various testing activities, providing technical support and mentorship as needed. Build and maintain standard operating procedures for tests, equipment operation, and maintenance activities. Conduct teardowns, troubleshooting and diagnosis of system failures. Work multi-functionally with the broader Quality & Hardware teams to complete test & data analysis activities for one or more product development programs. Some travel to Peloton offices may be required.

Minimum Requirements: Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Physics, Mechanical, Electrical, or Biomedical Engineering, or closely related quantitative discipline, and two (2) years of experience in job offered or in any occupation in a related field. 

Special Skill Requirements: (1) Statistical analysis (one year) (2) Data acquisition system development (one year) (3) Mechanical design & CAD modeling (two years) (4) Data analysis software development (one year) (5) Industrial or electromechanical automation (two years) (6) Machining (one year) (7) Test planning and reporting (two years). Any suitable combination of education, training and/or experience is acceptable. Some travel to Peloton offices may be required.

Salary: $96,700.00 - $125,600.00 per annum.
