The Atlassian Administrator has responsibilities to support the Agile processes through defining delivery methodologies and frameworks as well as ownership of Atlassian administration. This role will lead a team of practitioners and proved leadership on the implementation of training, process, technology, tooling, and governance. Responsibilities will also include the administration, enhancement, maintenance, and integration of Atlassian products. This role is accountable for high availability, performance, and enhanced capabilities of the suite of Atlassian products. This position will be responsible for owning, managing, defining, and optimizing standard Atlassian tools and processes to drive Atlassian standard methodologies and increased collaboration across scrum teams as well as other identified ways of working tooling.

Recipe for Success - What's "in store" for the role
- Lead change management activities supporting continued Agile adoption
- Define, establish, and implement agile methodologies applied across Technology.
- Define & establish the Technology organizations tools that enable and support the delivery methodology frameworks.
- Establish & drive cross company partnerships to enable adoption and support growing the organization's maturity.
- Define and establish processes and guidelines for delivery tools for agile.
- Educate and assist the Technology organization on the use of the tools and guidelines.
- Function as a subject matter expert (SME) through repeated successful collaboration with global teams.
- Drive consistent use of tools in alignment with guidelines across the organization.
- Champion modern methodologies such as Agile, DevOps and related practices
- Create, manage, and support all administrative functions associated with the Atlassian product suite including Jira Software on the Cloud, Confluence and Bitbucket
- Manage all Jira UI Admin tasks like project creation, team/board creation, custom fields, custom field values, reports, workflows, issue types, screen schemes, permission schemes, and notification schemes
- Work closely with the scrum masters and program managers to assist with process standardization
- Work with scrum teams to identify and implement automation opportunities
- Monitor Atlassian health status and keep everyone informed of any outages or performance issues.
- Create training materials and conduct user-training and help-sessions for new and existing custom features and implementations
- Find ways to optimize and improve JIRA/Confluence setup and workflows, as well as identify where functionality needs to improve to meet user requests
- Promote adoption and standard processes among the Atlassian user community
- Define and lead the rollout of comprehensive workflows (with conditions, validators, and triggered post functions), screen schemes, permission schemes, and notification schemes
- Refine current Jira processes to be more streamline and uniform for agile teams.
- Troubleshoot issues, connect with scrum masters, and continue to improve support processes.
- Develop mechanisms to automate manual processes
- Provide JIRA domain expertise in discussions regarding governance within JIRA
- Create Jira based reports, dashboards and planning views based on different user requirements and provide partners with actionable project metrics and status reports
- Create and maintain technical and/or user facing documentation for training
- Stay ahead of on industry trends that evolve the frameworks and methods to continuously improve our ability to deliver value.
The Essentials in Your Cart - The required ingredients
- Bachelor's degree in a technical field or equivalent experience in technical roles.
- Atlassian Jira and Confluence administration certifications
- Minimum 5+ years of technical experience inclusive of hands-on experience working with the Atlassian product suite, with specific focus on JIRA as a Project/Application Administrator
- 2+ years of experience in an advanced role or technical capacity leading teams directly or indirectly. This role currently manages contract resources.
