Your Career
Palo Alto Networks is looking for a talented Senior Systems Engineer who will be responsible for maintainability, build and configuration of Windows services platform and infrastructure. As senior technical staff, you will support different vendor technologies for user authentication and privilege management platforms.
Windows Server infrastructure hosts business critical services which are crucial for running the enterprise. The ideal candidate enjoys working in a fast-paced environment with highly innovative technologies. You will make a big impact in this highly visible role strengthening our infrastructure
Your Impact
- Manage Windows infrastructure specifically for controlled environments, work with other Identity Platform engineers in deploying and maintaining services, capacity planning, create and review operational runbooks
- Implementing and supporting the Windows servers, Active Directory and DNS in the cloud and on-premise infrastructure
- Provision, configure & support resilient cloud deployment architecture, keep it compliant with regulations, make it more efficient
- Manage scalability, capacity planning, redundancy, and resiliency
- Maintain service availability and performance SLAs based on business and product requirements
- Install, configure, and maintain Windows-based servers and client systems.
- Manage user accounts, permissions, and access rights.
- Monitor system performance and identify potential issues.
- Implement and maintain security measures to protect data and systems.
- Perform routine backups and implement disaster recovery procedures.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues.
- Provide technical support to users.
- Patching and remediating known vulnerabilities across the landscape
- Partner with IT and product teams for services integration
- Contribute to documentation related to design, deployment, validation, operations and DR/BCP
- Design proactive service monitoring, alerting and trend analysis of underlying infrastructure, and automate the service recovery process
Your Experience
- 6+ years of hands-on experience in managing and supporting Microsoft technologies on Windows Operating System, Active Directory and Azure Entra ID
- Fluent in Windows security & system hardening, vulnerability management & patching process
- Strong knowledge of Windows Server operating systems.
- Experience with Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and other Windows services.
- Familiarity with network protocols and technologies.
- Experience with virtualization technologies (e.g., Hyper-V, VMware).
- Knowledge of security concepts and technologies.
- Strong Scripting skills (e.g., PowerShell)
- In-depth knowledge of Windows infrastructure
- Experience in configuring and supporting Azure Active Directory
- Experience in managing privileged access management platforms like Delinea, Cyberark
- Experience working with cloud environments such as GCP, AWS, Azure, O365 etc.
- Familiarity with authentication technologies, standards, single sign on (SSO)
- Must have a passion for automation, experience with PowerShell, Ansible or similar configuration management tools to manage infrastructure as code
- Strong technical writing skills to support required documentation
- Ability to work cross-functionally across multiple business units, such as IT application and infrastructure, product development teams
- Passion, drive, energy, a sense of humor and a great attitude
- Bachelors/Masters degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or technical stream with the equivalent combination of work experience required or equivalent military experience required
