Your Career
Ecosystem partners are going to be core to the growth of Cloud & Cortex over the next 5 years. In particular, there are a few areas of growth:
- XSIAM - co-sell & deployment
- Managed XSIAM (co-managed or fully managed)
- Managed CDR & Managed XDR (MDR)
- Cloud Security - embedding into GSI-led cloud transformations
- UNIT 42 - threat intelligence and incident response engagements
Ambition for Cloud & Cortex is 5B+ TCV in FY27 of which we want 100% to be partner-influenced (co-sell and / or deployed) and at least 30% in a managed model. We are looking for a Sr. Dir to drive these priorities - working closely with the PANW Ecosystem leadership team. The role will work cross-functionally with our Ecosystem and Theater Sales teams.
Your Impact
- Build the overall ecosystem strategy for the speedboat - at a product (XSIAM, XDR, Cloud, UNIT 42), customer segment (Strategics / Majors / Ent) and regional level
- Be accountable for driving the ecosystem priorities & outcomes for Cloud & Cortex
- Own the definition of the offerings and partner programs to achieve these outcomes
- Drive the product / technical / practice relationships with partners (complimenting the GTM / Alliance relationships that are led by ecosystems team)
- Partner with the ecosystem team to set priorities, identify partners and incubate new models
- Work with our product teams to evolve our product and pricing to support partners (e.g., multi-tenant / MSSP capabilities)
- Market / competitive analysis - own understanding of market dynamics (e.g., TAM that is partner driven) and competitive analyses (e.g., what are CRWD / Google / Wiz / etc. doing with ecosystems)
Your Experience
- 4+ years relevant work experience in tech with at least 2 years in consulting (McKinsey, Bain, BCG, PwC, Deloitte etc.), private equity or top-tier tech strategy or "bizops" functions (Google, Facebook, Amazon, etc.)
- Effective verbal and written communication ability and comfort with both business and technical discussions with senior audiences
- Experience in building relationships and leading through influence
- Experience managing projects and large-scale transformations
- Great teammate, willing to passionately roll up their sleeves and work cross-functionally to get things done
- Self-starter who thrives in fast-paced, high-growth environments with minimal supervision
- Ability to deal with ambiguity and deal with changing priorities
- Expertise in the Enterprise technology industry is a must, knowledge of cybersecurity industry is a plus but not required

The Cortex and Prisma Cloud Strategy team works at the heart of Palo Alto Networks. The team tackles cross-functional strategic initiatives across all parts of our Cortex and Prisma Cloud organization and across all functions. We take on the most challenging and mission-critical initiatives to drive and support our industry-leading growth and overall trajectory. We work on projects that have C-Level sponsorship and are trusted partners to all our senior executives at Palo Alto Networks.

Compensation Disclosure
The compensation offered for this position will depend on qualifications, experience, and work location. For candidates who receive an offer at the posted level, the starting base salary (for non-sales roles) or base salary + commission target (for sales/commissioned roles) is expected to be between $253000 - $346500/YR. The offered compensation may also include restricted stock units and a bonus. A description of our employee benefits may be found here.
