Your Career

As our HR Transformation Leader, you will lead and shape how our organization approaches HR to ensure we are prepared to deliver most effectively as the company scales. You will define and execute HR transformation projects that integrate digital solutions, automation, process and organization optimization. You will work closely with stakeholders to improve our HR functions, enhancing both business performance and employee satisfaction. You will serve as a program & change management lead for these initiatives ensuring that the plans deliver on the strategic intent and all change is managed thoughtfully. Since much of the transformation relies upon a strong technology foundation you will define the technology strategy and priorities for the People team serving as the Product Manager for HR Technology at the company. This high-visibility role requires strategic thinking, deep expertise in HR transformation, strong stakeholder relationships, and effective project delivery.

Your Impact

  • Shape the future of the People function at Palo Alto Networks, working closely with the People Leadership Team as well as our partners in IT, Finance and the business
  • Connect the People teams work with business impact. You will ensure the People team is focused on work that maximizes the value for the company and employees

Your Experience

  • Change management: Understand how to motivate people to action and enable systemic change that is lasting and high impact
  • Project management: Ability to turn strategic initiatives into tangible plans that are thoughtfully sequenced with clear owners, milestones and measures for success. Keep multiple complex, and interrelated, initiatives on track
  • Curious & detail oriented: You learn new areas quickly, getting the context needed to build well orchestrated plans and to enable decision making. You get into the details, when needed, and also know when to leave the details to others or when you can move forward without perfect information
  • Adaptable: As much as you love structured project plans with dates, milestones and clear ownership, you are equally as excited about adapting quickly based on lessons learned & shifts in business dynamics
  • Communication: Exceptional communication skills, take complex ideas and distill them down into the most important parts so that others can understand them in plain speak and are motivated to take action. Adapt your communication style based on the audience for maximum impact
  • Stakeholder management: Work with stakeholders at all levels and roles with ease, you adapt your approach as needed and can flex your approach based on who you are working with. Equally comfortable presenting to executives as you are working side-by-side with teams to get the work done
  • Builder: As a builder, you are comfortable going where others have not gone before to prototype new approaches and ways of working. You are not afraid to take the 1st step to get a new or complex initiative started and then hand it off to others
  • Operate at scale: You know when to be scrappy to get something done or started and also know how to turn something into a scalable, repeatable approach that can work across a large organization
  • Outcome oriented: Relentless focus on outcomes, you set clear goals, measure progress and adapt along the way. You share your progress clearly, are as comfortable celebrating success as you are sharing misses and see both as an opportunity to learn and drive progress
  • Generalist: A true generalist, you understand how the component parts fit together and have enough knowledge of the core areas of the business & People function to orchestrate initiatives across teams but we are not looking for you to replace the expertise we have amongst our talented People team
  • Understand what leading practices are, and in some cases define industry leading practices as we explore new ways of working leveraging AI & other technology

The Team

The People Strategy & Transformation team is pivotal in shaping the future of our company. By harnessing the power of people analytics, we identify the key factors that drive employee engagement and productivity. Our performance management strategies ensure alignment with our core priorities, while our workforce planning initiatives map out a clear path to meet our future organizational needs.

Compensation Disclosure

The compensation offered for this position will depend on qualifications, experience, and work location. For candidates who receive an offer at the posted level, the starting base salary (for non-sales roles) or base salary + commission target (for sales/commissioned roles) is expected to be between $194000/YR - $268250/YR. The offered compensation may also include restricted stock units and a bonus. A description of our employee benefits may be found here.
