Outbrain is seeking an experienced Senior Infrastructure Engineer to join our global Information Technology group. Based out of our headquarters office in Israel and reporting to the IT/Security Infra manager.
We are looking for a candidate who is resourceful, bright, proactive, a go-getter who works well independently and as part of a team and is passionate about what she or he does. The candidate should be an energetic self-starter who enjoys working on operational tasks, proactive in delivering the best possible customer experience in a dynamic environment.

As a Senior Infrastructure Security Engineer at Outbrain, you will be at the forefront of securing our SaaS Cloud Infrastructure. Your role is to research, design, and implement cutting-edge security solutions that align with our policies & security standards.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Design, deploy, and maintain scalable and reliable infrastructure solutions.
- Evaluate new technologies and trends in infrastructure management to recommend and implement improvements (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
- Implement and maintain security measures to protect infrastructure and data.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to understand their requirements, provide technical guidance, and ensure successful implementation.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies in Infrastructure/Platform Engineering and leverage this knowledge to drive innovation and improve processes.
- Develop and maintain infrastructure automation scripts and tools to streamline deployment, configuration, and management processes
What you’ll bring:
- 3 + years of experience in infrastructure engineering or a related role.
- Proficiency in configuring and managing Linux/Unix and Windows servers.
- Experience with virtualization technologies such as VMware, Hyper-V.
- Strong understanding of networking concepts and protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, VPN).
- Hands-on experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud - a must !
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, PowerShell, or Bash.
- Experience with configuration management tools such as Ansible, Puppet, or Chef.
- Knowledge of security best practices and experience implementing security controls.
- Experience investigating and responding to both external and insider threats.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- A strong proactive and “can do” approach.
- A team player and a strong people person.
