Senior Director, Medical Economics

AT Oscar Health
Oscar Health

Senior Director, Medical Economics

New York, NY / Remote

Hi, we're Oscar. We're hiring a Senior Director, Medical Economics to join our Actuarial team.

Oscar is the first health insurance company built around a full stack technology platform and a focus on serving our members. We started Oscar in 2012 to create the kind of health insurance company we would want for ourselves—one that behaves like a doctor in the family.

About the role

The Senior Director, Medical Economics, plays an instrumental role in Oscar’s medical economics operating model, influences and guides a team of professionals (e.g. actuaries, data scientists, statisticians) to guide next steps to support Oscar’s total cost of care (TCoC) strategy and efforts. As an important driver of process excellence within the organization, the Senior Director collaborates with analytical leads across forecasting, medical cost analytics, pricing, and network analytics units to improve workflows, improve operational efficiency, and ensure agreement on our strategic goals. Beyond analytical leadership, you will craft high impact content, such as executive-level medical economics reporting and presentations, designed to inform and engage senior leadership on important trends, strategies, and financial impacts.
