Purpose and Job Summary:
The Benefits Analyst supports the development, maintenance, and administration of the full range of ORIX's Health and Welfare benefit offerings using a deep understanding of the organization's goals and structure to solve moderately complex problems. The individual in this role can work independently with minimal supervision, taking the initiative to guide and mentor more junior members of the team. The job presents an opportunity to enhance functional knowledge and hone problem-solving skills while promoting team cohesion and mutual growth.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Implement and administer the company's benefits programs such as health insurance, paid time off, retirement plans, etc.
- Act as a liaison between employees and insurance providers to resolve benefits-related issues and ensure effective utilization of plans and positive employee relations.
- Provide customer service support to employees' queries and address benefit issues.
- Engage in benefits administration including collecting and submitting employee information and overseeing record-keeping.
- Ensure benefits changes are entered appropriately in the payroll system for payroll processing.
- Conduct benefits presentations for internal employee orientations.
- Maintain knowledge of regulatory changes affecting benefits programs and inform the upper management as necessary.
- Proactively Ensure compliance with insurance and other regulatory requirements.

Travel Requirements: Under 5%
Education, Skills and Experience:
- A Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or closely related field is required. Progress toward professional certification/credentials preferred.
- 3-5 years of experience in in one of the administration areas of Health & Welfare Benefits. Exposure and progress in other Benefits areas.
Required:
- Strong understanding of the benefits administration and labor laws.
- Demonstrate leadership skills, ability to coordinate work with teammates, and ability to guide junior employees.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to clearly explain benefit programs
- Customer Service focus
- Excellent organization and prioritization skills.
- Proficient in basic computer skills, including MS Office suite
Preferred:
- Proficiency in negotiating and conflict resolution
- Experience with Workday
