Purpose and Job Summary:
Associates will work with senior living and healthcare focused underwriting and originations teams participating in various debt financing transaction types undertaken by the firm. These opportunities include training for all related products offered by the firm as well as direct contact with firm leadership.
The focus of the Associate position is to develop team members that have a broad view of the capital markets and a deep understanding of LUMENT's offerings so that each client is provided with the best possible outcome. As a growing firm with expanding services, there is excellent potential for professional development and promotion within the company.

• Perform comprehensive financial and loan analysis for transactions in the senior living and healthcare sectors, supporting the firm's Originators in evaluating and driving business development.
• Creation of credit profiles, mortgage insurance applications and corresponding exhibits, offering memoranda, management and board presentations, pitch books and other material relevant to originating and executing mortgage banking transactions, private financings, M&A and financial advisory transactions.
• Leading deals from engagement to closing, including day-to-day interactions with internal team members, clients, agencies, investors and other funding participants.
• Work with deal team members and clients coordinating the collection of due diligence.
• Coordinate the completion of third-party reports including appraisals, property capital needs assessments, environmental reports, zoning reports, and others as needed.
• Support the firm's Underwriters in preparing high quality credit packages for internal and agency submission, effectively identifying and mitigating transactional risks while developing a solutions-oriented transaction structuring approach.
• Develop and apply a detailed knowledge of Lument programs, requirements, policies and procedures, and other mortgage and financing products offered by Lument.
• Involvement in corporate and strategic initiatives as the need arises.
• Mentor Analyst level staff members contributing to individual and team development.

Education, Skills and Experience:
Education:
• Bachelor's degree required.
• Preferred major in business, finance, accounting, real estate, or related field.
• Masters level degree in business administration, finance, accounting, economics, or real estate preferred.
Skills:
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (with emphasis on Microsoft Excel).
• Excellent organizational, communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage multiple assignments and transactions simultaneously and meet critical and established deadlines.
• Excellent command of the English language, both verbally and in writing (spelling, grammar, and punctuation) including a strong aptitude for accuracy and detail.
• Ability to learn quickly and demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a high-performance team.
• Ability to synthesize large amounts of information into clearly articulated credit and business recommendations both verbally and in writing.
Experience:
3-5 years professional experience.
Commercial real estate production and/or underwriting analyst experience preferred.
