The Manager, Payroll role is critical to ensuring the team is processing the bi-weekly, monthly, quarter, semester payrolls for all US and Canada employees accurately and timely. Manage a team Senior Payroll Specialist and Payroll Specialists, including evaluations and feedback, and direct day to day activities to ensure payroll is completed in a timely and accurate manner. In addition, coordinates and partners with 3rd party vendor who processes payroll for Global market in India. The ideal candidate will have desire to succeed independently, strong attention to detail, excellent customer service skills, and strong problem-solving skills.

How you'll make an impact:

  • Provide managerial leadership, oversight and support for all US and Canada payroll functions.
  • Support the organization for payroll information as requested.
  • Management of ADP payroll services, including managing and funding Wisely cards as applicable.
  • Contributes to company growth in both international and domestic acquisitions.
  • Assist the organization in projects, implementation of the payroll policies and systematic review.
  • System oversight for compliance and functional accuracy including system testing of payroll outcomes.
  • Maintains employee confidence and protects payroll operations by keeping information highly confidential.
  • Works closely and professionally with other company departments, such as HR and Benefits.
  • Works with management to ensure staffing is in line with workload and company growth. This will include creating job descriptions, recruiting, selecting, orienting and training employees.
  • Training employees on functionality of system for timekeeping, implementation, and troubleshooting.
  • Analyze payroll information and financial impacts to ensure accuracy and completeness, including performing variance analysis.
  • Develop and administer payroll batch sign-off and approval process.
  • Review checklists per payroll and sign-off.
  • Analyzes, prepares and manages the inputting of payroll data for multi-state, bi-weekly, monthly, quarter, semester payrolls. Uses Workday automated system to produce accurate and timely payroll reports.
  • Ensures compliance with all applicable state and federal wage and hour laws.
  • Manage Time Tracking functions within Workday.
  • Provides data to Finance team for various journal entries, account reconciliations, and provides General Ledger support.
  • Develop and present process improvements to collaboratively work with management on implementing.
  • Manages ADP fulfillment relationship and all payroll tax processing.
  • Audits and creates all withholding tax set up and filings in conjunction with ADP.
  • Responsible for oversight of accurate W2 and T4 reviewing, testing and filing.
  • Responsible for other duties assigned by management.
  • Performs other duties as assigned
  • Complies with all policies and standards
  • Manage a team of Senior Payroll Specialist and Payroll Specialists and day to day activities to ensure payroll is completed in a timely and accurate manner.

What we're looking for:

  • Bachelor's Degree in related field required
  • 4-7 years related experience managing 500+ employee payrolls; experience with international payrolls. required
  • Certified Payroll Professional (CPP)-APA Upon Hire preferred
  • FPC Upon Hire preferred

  • Strong Mathematical skills to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, and percentages.
  • Strong logical reasoning to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
