Associate SIEM Engineer - Top Secret

The associate engineer will demonstrate a passion for learning, strong-problem-solving abilities, and excellent communication skills. Proactively seeking opportunities to expand technical skills set across various domains is essential for this role. The associate engineer will collaborate with more senior engineers to analyze, configure, and implement solutions as outlined in the scope of work. Additionally, this individual will be tasked with developing comprehensive documentation to support project deliverables and ensuring the maintenance of strong client relationships throughout engagements.

How you'll make an impact

Engagement Delivery

  • Analyze and understand client needs and objectives.
  • Support the implementation process, including initial analysis, system configurations, and installations.
  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance to clients during and after project implementation.
  • Document project progress, issues, and resolutions in a concise and timely manner.
  • Consistently self-review work to identify and improve approaches for producing high-quality work.

Sales and Client Engagement

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients to ensure satisfaction.
  • Adhere to availability standards for responding to client inquiries.
  • Communicate technical concepts effectively to clients.
  • Identify and communicate cross-sell and up-sell opportunities with the account team across services.

Talent Development

  • Demonstrate proactive engagement in acquiring certifications and cultivating technical proficiency in accordance with prevailing industry standards.
  • Provide input to leadership on needed training and development.
  • Proactively engage with mentors for assistance and guidance as necessary.
  • Shadow colleagues and actively participate in practical exercises within the company's lab while not assigned to an engagement.
  • Performs other duties as assigned
  • Complies with all policies and standards

What we're looking for

  • Currently holds a Top Secret clearance.
  • Bachelor's Degree in a related area or at least 2 years of related work experience. required
  • Experience operating in classified environments.
  • Holds an industry entry level security certification (i.e., Security+)
  • Currently holds Splunk and/or Cribl certifications preferred
  • Basic understanding of cybersecurity, and infrastructure concepts.
  • Limited experience installing, maintaining, and operating a SIEM solution.
  • Hands-on experience with Linux and Windows operating systems.
  • Preferred understanding of governance and compliance, specifically with FAR, DFARs, CUI and CMMC.
  • Preferred understanding of FedRAMP and IL constructs.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team.
  • Ability to clearly communicate complex messages to a variety of audiences.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • Willingness to travel to meet client needs.
