The Associate IT Business Analyst is responsible for working with Optiv business and IT owners in driving positive change across the organization. Working within the structure of a project team, the BA will gather and analyze data, understand business processes, and articulate requirements to ensure that proposed solutions meet organizational needs. With a focus on efficiency and effectiveness, the BA plays a crucial role in facilitating change and driving business performance.
How you'll make an impact
- Collect and interpret data to identify business trends and insights
- Document and analyze business processes and system requirements
- Assist with the development and validation of business cases for new projects or improvements
- Facilitate communication between stakeholders and IT teams to ensure clear understanding of requirements
- Participate in the design or modification of business systems or IT systems
- Interact with business leaders to understand their challenges and objectives
- Assist with integration and acceptance testing, ensuring that requirements are met
- Create detailed reports by compiling data findings into meaningful documentatio.
- Monitor project progress by tracking activity, resolving problems, and publishing progress reports
- Recommend controls by identifying problems and writing improved procedures
- Support continuous improvement by investigating alternatives and technologies and presenting these for architectural review
- Assist in the prioritization of business requirements and defining project scope and objectives

What we're looking for
- College degree in a related field (Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Information Systems, Statistics, Data Science, Operations Management) or relevant experience in business or IT
- Passion for Problem-Solving
- Initiative, a sense of urgency, ability to multi-task, strong organizational and project management skills, and a "can do" attitude
- Excellent strategic thinking skills with the ability to make data-driven decisions
- Must have clear and effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficient in Microsoft tools: Excel, Power Point, Word, Project, Visio
- Experience working in technology or cybersecurity a plus
- Experience with Salesforce, Marketo, NetSuite, Domo, Power BI, MuleSoft, Costpoint or similar platforms is preferred
