The Business Analyst position is a key role that is responsible for applying analytical solutions to problems and existing processes with the aim to increase effectiveness through technology solutions. This role plays an integral part in bridging the gap between Technology, Product and the Business using data analytics to assess processes and determine requirements that will allow Technology delivery teams to effectively meet business needs. An ability to produce documentation (in a timely manner) that supports either product or project teams to achieve outcomes, using different delivery methodologies is an important part of the role, so a blend of experience is important particularly in terms of agile delivery.

The initial focus will be working with our Customer Lifecycle team, with Salesforce transformation experience being essential. The focus will be on working on both transformation change initiatives and operational BAU activities that support our Customer Lifecycle capabilities team. The selected candidate will be providing business expertise and practical solution delivery experience to ensure that the team they are working with consistently delivers quality software that meets user product requirements and acceptance criteria. The role will support dependency management and help to remove impediments that are preventing the team from accomplishing its goals.
This role is within a fast-moving team and will involve working with some ambiguity to achieve objectives, so they must be comfortable with that. As such they will be expected to take initiative and display strong communication and time-management skills to facilitate meetings that ensure teams and stakeholders are aligned on the outcomes.
What you'll be doing:
- Leading the E2E business analysis activities across this group, including supporting transformation work that is taking place within this area
- Requirement gathering and analysis using Agile techniques, facilitating workshops and training sessions
- Prioritizing user stories in conjunction with the product manager/owner or project requirements in conjunction with the project manager
- Documenting acceptance criteria and validating the results
- Ongoing management of the backlog and/or requirements to ensure that it is aligned with business needs
- Collaborating with key stakeholders and team to find the right solutions to solve and deliver on business needs
- Looking for gaps in data requirements between what is in place and what is needed. Modeling the data requirements or work with the appropriate people to ensure that the data will support the new solution
- Assisting the Product Owner with building and maintaining the backlog, ensuring all requirements and user stories align to product strategy across 2-3 different scrum teams
- Maintaining consistent and constant communication with stakeholders, in alignment with the PM or PO
- Working closely with the development team to ensure the right changes are delivered within the agreed timeframe
- Working with the SME's to understand the Customer Lifecycle experience and journeys end-to-end
- Building relationships with 3rd party partners within this domain to deliver business outcomes and services
Qualifications
- Relevant University or Business Analysis qualification/experience
Knowledge, skills, experience
- Prior experience in a Business Analysis Role
- Salesforce Admin Certification would be desirable
- Good experience in Salesforce implementations and acting as the SME for Salesforce
- Knowledge of customer relationship management where customers can be direct customers and partners (B2C and B2B)
- Experience working with Salesforce development teams, either internal teams or third-party implementation partners
- Basic SQL knowledge or ability to write SQL queries
- Experience in Financial or payment services company preferred
- Experience working in digital area & in client/consumer facing products and projects
- Ability to understand Microservice/API and application/system architecture
- Commercial awareness, problem-solving and analytical skills
- Communication and interpersonal skills, including excellent written and verbal communication
- An interest in, and understanding of, project delivery techniques (Agile, project management etc.) and computing systems
- Attention to detail and capability to deliver a high level of accuracy
- Proven ability to drive technology teams to deliver results
- Demonstrated experience working on Scrum and/or Kanban based products
- Knowledge of and significant experience working with Jira and Confluence is required
