Vehicle Testing Engineer

With the expansion of our on-road testing activities in Europe, NVIDIA is looking for a very strong Software Engineer to define, maintain and manage AV software testing for our vehicle fleet in Europe. This position requires the technical ability to deeply understand Automotive architectures, a strong experience in Vehicle build-up and the capability to coordinate the testing work and communication of NVIDIA and customer teams.

What you'll be doing:

  • Support on-site the adaptation and deployment of NVIDIA vehicle automation software in NVIDIA's customer vehicles.
  • Efficient and detailed reporting of discovered issues.
  • Work closely with other teams including our Functions, Software, and Hardware teams to timely resolve issues in the field.

What we need to see:

  • A degree in an engineering or computer science-related field or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of relevant working experience.
  • Strong embedded knowledge as well as strong work experience in a Linux/QNX environment.
  • Test process/flow with software debugging skills in a Linux environment.
  • Strong knowledge in ADAS functions (AD/Parking/Safety) from sensor perception to actuation.
  • Experience in vehicle buildup & maintenance and a scripting language (Python, Bash, etc.).
  • Understanding of vehicle architecture and communication protocols (CAN, LIN, Ethernet).
  • Experience in working with different sensor technologies like lidar, radar, cameras.
  • Excellent communication and organization skills, with a logical approach to problem solving, good time management and task prioritization skills, soft skills for team interaction.
  • Willingness for vehicle testing drive and to travel around Europe to support NVIDIA partners. This position also requires a valid European driving license.

Ways to stand out from the crowd:

  • Strong communication skills
  • Experience as an ADAS software engineer at a Tier 1 or OEM. Previous experience on the NVIDIA DRIVE AGX Platform and DRIVE PDK
  • Knowledge of relevant regulations and applicable (safety) standards for typical ADAS features (e.g. ASPICE, ISO26262, FMVSS, EuroNCAP).
  • Experience in component and system integration, testing and verification on the system and vehicle level.
  • Certified test driver and driving experience as a test driver in Europe.
