We are now looking for a Vehicle Function Adaptation and Testing Engineer, based in Stuttgart, Germany. The Vehicle Function Adaptation and Testing Engineer is responsible to spearhead the adaptation and Integration of NVIDIA Drive Software on most desirable vehicles.

What you'll be doing:

  • Be responsible for organizing, executing, and supporting (i) the bring-up of the development vehicles as well as scaling the bringup of data collection vehicles; (ii) integrating, adapting and testing of NVIDIA vehicle automation software on test track and on public roads to verify NVIDIA Drive Software on various development prototype vehicles
  • Interact with OEM and NVIDIA teams to deliver cutting edge ADAS systems
  • You are willing to travel on test campaigns on different test track spread across different geographies
  • Debugging, calibrating, and validating different ADAS functions on development S/W releases in prototype vehicles
  • Understanding the SW builds, flashing the software on the vehicles, testing the functions on road and understanding the functional issues
  • Tracing the issues back to expert teams, fixing them independently or by working with experts - Guiding teams on improvement ideas from function adaptation
  • Ensure the traceability from requirements until test results, generate quality test reports and establish test matrix
  • Be part of an internationally distributed team with remote locations in Europe, US, APAC and India

What we need to see:

  • BS or MS degree from a leading university, or equivalent experience, in an engineering or computer science related discipline with 5+ years of relevant working experience.
  • Excellent programming skills in C, C++ and Python
  • Ability to work efficiently with Linux environment on the command line.
  • Self-motivated and work effectively across different international functional organizations.
  • Good working understanding of Linux and/or QNX.
  • 5+ years of experience for in-vehicle activities.
  • Experience working on complex embedded software projects, experience in automotive would be definite plus.
  • Gathered experience in all phases of functional adaptation/testing and in-vehicle software bring-up.
  • A valid Driving license.
  • Good written and verbal interpersonal skills - concisely articulate knowledge and ideas.
  • Excellent written and oral skills in English.
  • Willing to travel as required.

Ways to stand out from the crowd:

  • Working experience with ADAS or autonomous driving applications.
  • Knowledge of complex SoC based automotive systems- Working knowledge of CUDA and GPU's would be an advantage.
  • Experience in functional development, adaptation and testing of automotive software based on various sensors (e.g. camera, radar, lidar, GPS, ultrasound etc.). Good knowledge of process standards like ASPICE & ISO26262.
  • Advanced driving skills for test driving prototypes that requires a special training and license (T2)
  • Understanding of vehicle architecture and communication protocols (CAN, LIN, Ethernet)
