Technical Artist for Games

Now we are looking for a Technical Artist for Games to join NVIDIA Developer Technology group (Devtech) and work with a team of experienced artists and engineers on innovative uses of graphics and AI technologies for games. The Devtech team works with NVIDIA researchers and leading game developers to bring cutting edge real-time graphics and AI research from across NVIDIA and the industry to gamers and 3D professionals in high performance packages such as path tracing and generative AI.

What you will be doing:

  • Create live demos for the latest rendering technologies on NVIDIA GPUs, such as real-time path tracing.
  • Provide consulting and training services to the artists from game developers, evangelizing for the latest GPU features.
  • Help game developers to create content using NVIDIA technologies.
  • Interact closely with graphics engineers to optimize game assets for maximizing quality and efficiency on NVIDIA products.

What we need to see:

  • 5+ years of experience in the game industry, or equivalent degrees of design or digital art.
  • Strong knowledge of 3D graphics, including real-time rendering, shading languages and optimization skills.
  • Master in at least one commercial game engine (Unreal or Unity), able to rapidly create game levels, being proficient in scripting and material graph system.
  • Familiar with the content creation pipeline of traditional DCC tools (Blender, Maya, Houdini, etc.), including modelling, visual effects and rendering.
  • Strong knowledge of physical based rendering, ray tracing and post-processing.
  • Travel for on-site visits with developers and to conferences.

Ways to stand out from the crowd:

  • Good communication and interpersonal skills in English and Mandarin.
  • Scripting knowledge (node graphs, Python, C#, MDL, etc.) of customizing DCC tools and making plugins.
  • Experience of participating at least one 3A game development.
