NVIDIA is looking for a highly motivated individuals to join its fast-paced customer delivery organization in the role of Vehicle Adaptation Engineer. In this role, you will be supporting the organization's efforts to adapt NVIDIA's autonomous driving software stack to various variants and drive the function behavior to maturity. It involves tuning and adapting self-driving software in the target vehicles and on the customer sites / testing grounds.

What you'll be doing

  • Integrate ADAS functions and tune the software parameters to achieve the best customer experience.
  • Drive the roll-out onto the fleet across dozens of carlines.
  • Installing, trouble-shooting and operating software.
  • Understand the quality standards and expected functionality of brand-new features. Align and report results to customers and the development organization.
  • Analyze & diagnose the underlying events contributing to these metrics, identify issues and help improving the product experience

What we need to see

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in an engineering field, and at least 3 years of work experience in a related industry.
  • Good knowledge of embedded systems and C/C++ and a scripting language (Python, Bash, etc) to be proficient operating a complex software stack.
  • Ability to work efficiently with Linux and QNX environments on the command line.
  • Good communication and organization skills, with a logical approach to problem solving, good time management and task prioritization skills, soft skills for customer interaction.
  • Passion for working on cars, autonomous driving or software engineering.
  • Onsite attendance in one of the development and testing locations in the greater Sindelfingen / Stuttgart area is required daily. Flexibility of work hours and willingness to travel around Europe to support testing in many locations.

Ways to stand out from the crowd

  • Experience as ADAS software engineer at a Tier 1 or OEM.
  • Well-rounded knowledge of how an autonomous vehicle stack (or similar large system) works, and practical experience dealing with the challenges in integrating many components into one solution
  • Understanding of vehicle architecture and communication protocols (CAN, LIN, Ethernet).
  • EU driver license and advanced driving skills for test driving prototypes that requires a special training and license (T2)
