NVIDIA is looking for an experienced Software Test Engineer to join the NVIDIA-Cumulus Linux Verification Engineering Team to assist with Customer Escalation Engineering. Our dynamic Software Verification Team is responsible for the qualification of the Network Operating System software that powers data centers that are accelerated, disaggregated, and software-defined to meet the exploding growth in AI and high-performance computing. In this critical role, you will to lead verification of groundbreaking features of NVIDIA-Cumulus Linux . You will take full ownership of multiple tasks including participation in requirements and design reviews, developing test plans, test execution, and automated test development for specific features. What you'll be doing:

  • Internally replicating customer deployments and conducting customer-focused testing. Reproducing customer-found defects.Collaborating with field teams and development to quickly resolve customer issues from the engineering side.
  • Engaging with customers to assist with deployments and upgrades.
  • Driving post-escalation RCA to identify patterns and areas for improvement.
  • Functional Testing of various Layer2 and Layer3 features of NVIDIA-Mellanox Spectrum series Ethernet Switch systems running NVIDIA-Cumulus Linux.
  • Writing detailed feature and system test plans, and define and design test beds and topologies.Reporting issues found during testing into the defect tracking system and validate the fixes and workarounds.
  • Developing automated test suites for different features of NVIDIA-Cumulus Linux.
  • Building and maintaining automation required to ensure quality via continuous functional regression.
  • Collaborating with design, test and other internal engineering groups to identify, report, and resolve issues found during testing.

What we need to see:

  • B.S degree or equivalent experience in Engineering/Computer Science/related field.
  • 5+ years of proven experience in Software Quality Engineering; with 3+ years of shown experience in handling escalations.
  • Strong technical abilities, problem-solving, design, coding, and debugging skills.
  • Hands-on experience on any Layer2 and Layer3 protocol like MLAG, VLAN, STP, OSPF, BGP, EVPN, etc.
  • Experience in using test tools like Ixia or Spirent, and working experience with test management tools.
  • Strong skills in Python or other scripting languages are essential.
  • Good experience working on Unix or Linux-based OS.
  • Multi-tasking abilities and good interpersonal skills.
  • Proven understanding of software engineering practices.

Ways to stand out from the crowd:

  • Knowledge in performance testing and how to fix performance issues.
  • Experience with CI methodology & tools (Git, Gerrit, Jenkins, etc.)

The base salary range is 148,000 USD - 339,250 USD. Your base salary will be determined based on your location, experience, and the pay of employees in similar positions.

You will also be eligible for equity and benefits. NVIDIA accepts applications on an ongoing basis.
