We are now looking for a Senior System Software Engineer to work in our Tegra system software group. The best candidates will have excellent C/C++, a thorough understanding of operating systems and kernel programming, a good understanding of computer architecture. You will work closely with various teams including hardware ,software, Operations and Application engineers to design, develop, and debug the most stressful and robust solutions to develop diagnostic software. You will also be involved in writing various device drivers/tests for various IP's in the SOC to produce high-quality, reliable software that is extensively used both within Nvidia and for the customer data center and automotive products that are used throughout the world!

What you'll be doing:

  • Develop drivers/tests to see them through the full software development lifecycle.
  • Work closely with software engineers, hardware, and arch and Operations teams to implement and optimize features used for various system-on-chip (SOC) validation/screening use cases.
  • You would investigate/research and propose optimal stress loads for critical SOC domains like CPU and Memory.
  • Triage, debug, and implement fixes in the software stack.
  • Communicate optimally with various teams throughout the company, as well as customers and partners.

What we need to see:

  • BS or MS in EE/CS or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years of industry related experience
  • Strong C/C++ programming skills.
  • Familiarity with SOC architecture, and ability to work close to the hardware.
  • Previous experience of working on a large modular system software code base is preferable.
  • Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.
  • Excellent communication and planning skills.

Ways to stand out from the crowd:

  • Have knowledge of Linux Kernel internals.
  • You have a solid understanding of ARM platforms
  • Solid understanding of ARM platforms.
  • Experience in diagnostic software for datacenter and server systems.
  • Experience in Pre-Silicon / Post-Silicon bringup planning and execution of complex SoCs and platforms.
  • Experience working with complex software solutions.

The base salary range is 148,000 USD - 276,000 USD. Your base salary will be determined based on your location, experience, and the pay of employees in similar positions.

You will also be eligible for equity and benefits. NVIDIA accepts applications on an ongoing basis.
