Senior Hardware Test Engineer

NVIDIA is seeking a Senior Hardware Test Engineer to build, debug and manage global HW infrastructure for silicon validation. The complex nature of the hardware creates challenging problems. Therefore, someone with solid understanding and innovative thinking is required to perform critical system debugs. As part of the Silicon Solutions Team, we are responsible for productizing NVIDIA's chips into groundbreaking consumer, professional, server, mobile, and automotive solutions.

What You Will Be Doing:

  • Oversee the functionality of Hardware Farm which is a large collection of GPU, SoC and CPU system unified by SW and perform HW and SW debugs involving PCB, Voltage Regulators, OS, Driver, Firmware, etc.
  • Create test plans and scripts to run sanity checks on farm systems ensuring HW and SW integrity while working with multiple SW tools involved in automation to identify and fix any infrastructure or script issues
  • Coordinate with global farm team and silicon validation teams to ensure timely availability of farm systems by resolving technical challenges and drive critical debugs by pulling in resources within and outside the team
  • Collaborate with the Farm-Development team and location-based PIC to enhance the farm process and infrastructure
  • Apply proactive problem-solving abilities to address issues in the farm infrastructure and drive to closure
  • Lead the development and implementation of automated monitoring and alert systems to detect and address farm issues in real-time.
  • Analyze farm performance metrics and trends to identify opportunities for optimization and future growth, driving strategic improvements.

What We Need to See:

  • B.E/B. Tech in ECE or equivalent experience with 3+ years of experiences in the HW/Silicon domain
  • In-depth knowledge of various motherboard platforms, SoCs, PC Hardware and components, network connections
  • Seeking strong expertise in diverse operation systems, emphasizing profound knowledge of Linux OS internals and scripting capabilities (Python, Perl and TCL)
  • Excellent coordination and interpersonal skills to effectively convey technical information and collaborate across global teams
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities to address complex hardware and software issues in the lab and farm infrastructure
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to mentor and guide team members, nurturing a collaborative and growth-oriented environment

The base salary range is 124,000 USD - 195,500 USD. Your base salary will be determined based on your location, experience, and the pay of employees in similar positions.

You will also be eligible for equity and benefits. NVIDIA accepts applications on an ongoing basis.
