At NVIDIA we develop high speed optical interconnect chips, hardware and firmware. As the product complexity is growing, we are looking for Senior FW engineers. Our products connect the super computers and hyper scale datacenter of the world at +400Gbit/sec.

The Danish team works closely with NVIDIA sites in Israel and USA and have access to extensive knowledge, technologies and tools, yet we are responsible for our own product line of PHY ASIC's. Taking the products from concepting, through design, implementation, verification and release to customers. What you will be doing:

  • Strong experience in supporting optical transceivers, IC's and FW with internal and external customers
  • Prepare internal chip bring-up on all levels: Emulation, SW debug tools, low level communication, documentation, regression.
  • Prepare external customers for chip bring-up in transceiver design.
  • Strong and natural communication abilities.
  • Travel to external costumers as required, US, China, Israel
  • Define, implement and support API and documentation to allow fast integration of ASICs in product applications.

What we need to see:

  • Ability to create strong relationships with internal and external partners.
  • Knowledge on SW tools for development, verification, documentation and build systems.
  • Strong understanding of software architecture principles with a systematic approach to planning and execution.
  • Knowledge of C/C++ for embedded platforms and python for scripting, automation tasks and data processing.
  • Experience with Linux as development platform and with Git for version control.
  • A Master's Degree or equivalent experience in electrical engineering or similar.
  • 8+ years' experience with supporting customers at deep technical level

Ways to stand out from the crowd:

  • Experience with optical transceivers within networking
  • Experience with IC and optical design, network and supporting external costumers.
  • Knowledge about embedded security concepts (public/private keys, signature, tokens and so on).
  • A good understanding of basic lab equipment and the ability to control it with a passion for creating solutions that lasts and are platform independent.
  • Hands on lab experience from ASIC bring-up.

The base salary range is 164,000 USD - 304,750 USD. Your base salary will be determined based on your location, experience, and the pay of employees in similar positions.

You will also be eligible for equity and benefits. NVIDIA accepts applications on an ongoing basis.
