We are seeking a highly motivated professional with strong drive, a problem-solving attitude and deep knowledge of US GAAP to join our Consolidation team in Santa Clara. In the role of Consolidation GL Accountant, you will perform a variety of tasks ranging from routine to sophisticated analysis and play a critical role in the global consolidation and financial reporting process resulting in complete and accurate financials. This position is great for an aspiring individual who is detail oriented and can effectively collaborate vertically and cross functionally within the organization and enjoys working in a challenging and fast-paced environment.

What you'll be doing:

  • Perform intercompany reconciliation and resolve any discrepancies at month end closing
  • Support the global consolidation and reporting processes including accounting for the impact of foreign exchange rates and elimination of intercompany balances and investment in subsidiaries
  • Identify areas for improvement on internal processes and controls to develop efficiencies within consolidation process
  • Perform reconciliation of financial data interfaced between ECC and S4 and resolve any issue in system interface
  • Assist master data maintenance and custom configurations built for ECC and S4
  • Work with IT to set up a new company in ERP system and connected to other accounting tools such as MyFiDoc & Blackline as a system administrator
  • Assist with the Company's SOX 404 program and develop and maintain process and controls documentation as needed
  • Work with regional finance teams to align accounting policies and procedures for key areas globally

What we need to see:

  • BA/BS in Accounting or Finance (or equivalent experience)
  • 8+ years of relevant accounting experience
  • Previous consolidation experience and accounting ERP system (SAP) experience required
  • Extensive understanding of US GAAP required
  • Strong working knowledge of multi-currency transactions and related impacts on the financial statements
  • Proficient in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Excellent ability to manage multiple projects and perform with a high degree of accuracy under tight deadlines
  • A desire to learn and have a great intellectual curiosity
  • Ability to multi-task, work independently and in teams to identify and tackle problems enthusiastically and clearly identify key issues of importance for team resolution

Ways to stand out from the crowd:

  • CPA designation preferred
  • Experience with ERP system implementation
  • Experience with S4 HANA - Group Reporting & Central Finance
  • Background with other tools such as Blackline, MyFiDoc and Robotic Process Automation

The base salary range is 112,000 USD - 184,000 USD. Your base salary will be determined based on your location, experience, and the pay of employees in similar positions.

You will also be eligible for equity and benefits. NVIDIA accepts applications on an ongoing basis.
