We are looking for a motivated and experienced individual to join our growing Salesforce Development team as a Development Manager. In this role, you will lead a team of developers and administrators who focus on designing, developing, and implementing solutions at a global scale. Your main objective will be to deliver a world-class Sales and Service experience for our business. You will have a crucial role in guiding the technical roadmap, effectiveness, and success of Salesforce CRM implementation that fulfill the requirements of our business teams. Your focus will be on delivering high-quality solutions in a timely manner while promoting collaboration and innovation. Additionally, you will collaborate with a diverse team including Business Analysts and Program Managers, to align Salesforce with other systems and ensure its optimal performance in supporting our business objectives. This is a hands-on development manager position primarily using Salesforce.com platform and other related technologies. The role is based in Pune, India, with an expectation to work from the office 2 to 3 days a week.

What you'll be doing:

As a Salesforce Development Manager, you'll be tasked with the following functions:

  • Lead and mentor a team of Salesforce Developers and Administrators, fostering a collaborative and innovative environment.
  • Apply practical knowledge of Salesforce development practices, including Apex code, Lightning Web Components, no-code automations, and data sharing architecture.
  • Collaborate closely with key individuals from various business units, such as program managers and business analysts, to comprehend their requirements, develop strategic plans, and effectively implement projects.
  • Oversee projects and feature enhancements from requirements gathering through to deployment, ensuring quality and timely delivery.
  • Monitor and maintain the performance and stability of implemented features, seeking opportunities for automation and optimization.
  • Evaluate technology choices considering performance, scalability, and maintainability, providing clear rationale for decisions.
  • Ensure thorough documentation of technical specifications, code, and processes for knowledge transfer and maintainability.
  • Stay updated on emerging technologies and platform updates, suggesting effective strategies to improve performance and functionality.

What we need to see:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • At least 12 overall years of experience in architecting and designing full-stack solutions using the Salesforce Platform, with a minimum of 5 years in a Salesforce Development/Engineering Manager role.
  • Experience in effectively managing a team of developers by demonstrating strong leadership, mentoring, and organizational skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills. Ability to balance short-term objectives with long-term goals and make data-driven decisions.
  • Proficiency in APEX, Visualforce, LWC, SOQL/SOSL, Web Services (SOAP/REST), Automations using Triggers, Cloud Flow Designer, Test Class design and debugging.
  • Proficient knowledge of SFDC Platform features, Objects and Data Model, Sharing Architecture, Experience Cloud, Salesforce CPQ (SteelBrick).
  • Certifications - Salesforce Application Architect certification is preferred.

Ways to stand out from the crowd:

  • Experience in project management and Agile development methodologies.
  • Practical experience with Salesforce Platform Development and Experience Cloud configuration/customization for Partner and Customer communities.
