NVIDIA is looking for a creative and highly motivated system software engineer with expertise in embedded software and functional safety to join Tegra system-on-chip (SOC) system software group. We have a real passion for pushing the technology to its limit and creativity which will be fully tested and applied here. As part of our team you will be responsible for ensuring functional safety and security compliance for the system software stack used in automotive platforms. You will closely work with experts from adjacent domains in system software, hardware across NVIDIA, product owners and customer facing teams to build the best products in the segment.
What you'll be doing:
- Software design and development for automotive systems firmware to take it through the product lifecycle.
- Ensure functional safety compliance (ISO26262) for the software.
- Ensure the system software stack is compliant to security standard ISO21434.
- Closely work with the safety engineers and architects across the various components of the software stack to build solutions.
- Collaborate with hardware team to review and craft functional safety compliant solutions.
- Actively coordinate with multi-functional engineering teams to meet customer's requirements and address complex issues effectively.

What we need to see:
- BS or MS degree or equivalent experience in EE/CS/CE.
- 3+ years of experience.
- Demonstrated expertise of working in embedded system software development for SoC products, understands the low level boot software and boot flows in SoC products.
- Understands the functional safety (ISO26262) and Security (ISO21434) standards and has demonstrated work experience in these areas.
- Excellent scripting skills, advanced Python programming and debugging skills, automation skills.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, good work ethics, team-work, dedication, and ownership for the tasks assigned.

- Good understanding of ARM architecture
- Jama REST APIs and automation
- Understanding and working with LLMs
The base salary range is 148,000 USD - 276,000 USD. Your base salary will be determined based on your location, experience, and the pay of employees in similar positions.
