EMC Engineer
We are currently seeking a EMC Engineer to join NVIDIA's Regulatory Compliance Team. Our team is responsible for the design, simulation, testing, debugging, and certification of NVIDIA products in areas such as EMC, Safety, RF, and Energy Efficiency. This is a collaborative environment where team members learn from and support each other.
What you'll be doing:
- Lead EMC design, testing, debugging, RF certification, and customer support independently.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Architecture, EE, Layout, Mechanical, Thermal, RF, Antenna, Verification, and Operations Engineers. Work with labs to conduct tests and obtain product certifications.
- Design product architectures for regulatory compliance, including reviewing mechanical designs, schematics, and layout designs. Provide EMC design recommendations.
- Develop certification plans and prepare certification materials.
- Conduct pre-tests and troubleshoot any failures.
- Coordinate and support tests at labs, review data and reports to complete certifications, and assist customers with troubleshooting.
- Research new technologies and regulatory requirements for emerging products, summarize findings, and present them to the team.

What we need to see:
- Strong background in EMC design, testing, debugging, and RF certification, with a minimum of 3+ years of experience in EMC (5+ years preferred).
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electromagnetic Fields, or EMC (Master's or PhD preferred).
- Solid understanding of Electronic and Electrical Theory, Electromagnetic Fields, Antenna Theory, and EMC Theory.
- Familiarity with signal integrity, power integrity, thermal, and mechanical design principles.
- Experience with EMC design, debugging, and testing.
- Proficiency in EMC/RF test equipment and platforms (e.g., semi-anechoic chambers, spectrum analyzers, receivers, LISN, ISN), including knowledge of their features and limitations.
- Familiarity with global EMC/RF regulations and accreditation standards.
- Experience with EMC simulation software such as Ansys HFSS, Maxwell, CST, etc.
Ways to stand out from the crowd:
- Proficiency in various RF communication technologies (Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Cellular) with extensive experience in RF design and debugging. Familiarity with RF components, small antennas, and antenna arrays is a plus.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently, manage multiple projects, and prioritize tasks with minimal supervision.
