We are now looking for a Deep Learning Applied Scientist to work on the alignment of foundation models with us!

What you'll be doing:

  • Develop and prototype new alignment methods for tuning foundation models (based on Deep Learning and Reinforcement Learning)
  • Contribute to open-source products such as NVIDIA NeMo and NeMo-Aligner
  • Work as part of NVIDIA's software product teams to release novel AI software and services
  • Collaborate with researchers in leading universities and industrial research labs
  • Publish your research and present to conferences and customers

What we need to see:

  • Graduating with your Ph. D. (or Master's) degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Applied Math or equivalent experience
  • Excellent programming skills with Python and knowledge of Pytorch or Tensorflow
  • Publication track record in NLP or Reinforcement Learning
  • Strong mathematical background, especially in the optimization theory, with a passion for solving hard problems
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are required along with the ability to work in a dynamic, product oriented and global team. Your history of mentoring other engineers and interns is a great bonus!

Ways to stand out from the crowd:

  • Contributions to open source projects, experience with performance optimization / CUDA / C++

The base salary range is 161,250 CAD - 351,000 CAD. Your base salary will be determined based on your location, experience, and the pay of employees in similar positions.

You will also be eligible for equity and benefits. NVIDIA accepts applications on an ongoing basis.
