WHAT YOU WILL EXPERIENCE IN THIS POSITION:

This position is a highly sophisticated sales role serving various industries like traditional oil & gas, chemicals, pharmaceutical, power, and marine. The role will involve selling electrical heat tracing and thermal management products, services, and projects either directly to end users or through a variety of different channels, e.g. Specialist Distributors, Wholesaler, Reps. and projects through Contractors like EPC houses.

You will play a key role in creating and designing technical solutions tailored to customer needs. This may include working directly with clients to develop technical specifications or contributing to the design of heat tracing specifications that meet industry standards and project requirements.

In this role, you will lead the development of our product and local industrial project business in Norway by driving profitable revenue growth through value-based selling and offering technical solutions that address customer challenges. Your ability to develop and implement technical solutions that integrate our products and services into client specifications will be critical to success.
  • Develop and implement a strategy for Norway in line with the current Industrial Heat Tracing strategy based on a combination of direct product & project business based on value selling and always looking for Upselling possibilities (read: services), products through partners, and develop a relationship and long-term strategy with key accounts & partners Implement the Way-to-Market coverage-based a.m. strategy: direct sales, and partners and coordinate the project services with the multi-functional supporting staff located in our Newcastle- Washington office
  • Collaborate with clients on developing and refining technical specifications for projects, ensuring nVent's solutions are integral to their project requirements.
  • Deliver seminars, training, and lunch & learn at key customer groups throughout Norway on a defined basis
  • Maintain and grow client relationships by introducing new technical solutions, services, and specialized applications.
  • Report competitor activities, review regional threats, consider any hurdles to success, and propose an action plan to overcome.
  • Through a consultative sales approach, deliver value-added solutions and close negotiations efficiently, acting as an executive sponsor during project execution to optimize relationships and profitability.
  • Regularly update Salesforce as your primary tool for tracking sales activity and customer interactions.


YOU HAVE:
  • Strong technical background in sales, with the ability to develop and implement technical heat tracing solutions that align with client specifications.
  • You should be comfortable engaging in detailed technical discussions and designing commercially viable and technically sound solutions.
  • You are creative, innovative, thinking out of the box, curious and interested, with positive energy!
  • Great interpersonal skills, with past successful experience in overcoming situations that required adaptability to market changes and needs.
  • You possess a driver's license and the flexibility to travel & spend time on the field with customers, approx. 50 % of the time
  • Great Norwegian & English skills, both in written and spoken language
