This position will support our Trachte facility in Oregon, WI. As a part of nVent, Trachte is a leading manufacturer of highly engineered metal buildings for industrial and commercial applications. Today, nVent connects and protects our customers with inventive electrical solutions. We design, manufacture, market, install and service high performance products and solutions for mission-critical equipment, buildings and essential processes. Offering both prefabricated and on-site building capabilities, framed and frameless building construction types, and products ranging from build kits and modular units to fully engineered integrated buildings.

  • The Field Service Technician is a highly skilled Construction Builder capable of taking on accountability for onsite service activities involved with unit placement, service and warranty work.
  • Willing to travel a minimum of 50% of the time
  • Responsible for onsite service activities involved with unit placement and setup completion by performing the following duties: Positioning all building parts according to knowledge of unit being assembled and has a detailed insight and understanding of drawings and supporting documentation.
  • Maintains an excellent driving record and is approved to operate company vehicles.
  • Represents Trachte with professionalism and appropriate conduct when providing on-site services, working with the customer, customer representative, subcontractors, or fellow employees.
  • Accountable for all travel expense reporting for assigned on-site services.
  • Follow all safety rules and regulations.
  • Other duties as assigned. Associate degree or minimum 3 years construction related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Valid driver's license, with good standing driving record
  • Subject to random OSHA safety training, job site training, drug screens and background checks
  • Excellent verbal communication skills
  • Strong customer service background
  • Must be willing to work overtime, as needed
