This position will support our Trachte facility in Oregon, WI. As a part of nVent, Trachte is a leading manufacturer of highly engineered metal buildings for industrial and commercial applications. Today, nVent connects and protects our customers with inventive electrical solutions. We design, manufacture, market, install and service high performance products and solutions for mission-critical equipment, buildings and essential processes. Offering both prefabricated and on-site building capabilities, framed and frameless building construction types, and products ranging from build kits and modular units to fully engineered integrated buildings.

The primary responsibilities of the Electrical Supervisor will be to supervise and coordinate activities of Electricians engaged in construction, maintenance and repair of electric power and lighting systems of plant and product buildings by performing the following duties.

Directly supervises employees and subcontractors in the electrical department. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
  • Responsibilities include training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
  • Plans wiring and installation of equipment and fixtures such as motors, generators, switches, circuit breakers, and panel boards.
  • Inspects wiring and fixtures for conformance to company specifications or local electrical codes.
  • Studies production schedules and estimates worker hour requirements for completion of job assignment.
  • Interprets company policies to workers and enforces safety regulations.
  • Interprets specifications, blueprints, and job orders to workers, and assigns duties.
  • Establishes or adjusts work procedures to meet production schedules.
  • Recommends measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality of product.
  • Suggests changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase efficiency of shop, department, or work crew.
  • Analyzes and resolves work problems, or assists workers in solving work problems.
  • Initiates or suggests plans to motivate workers to achieve work goals.
  • Maintains time and production records
  • Estimates, requisitions, and inspects materials
  • Confers with other staff to coordinate activities of individual departments
  • Sets up machines and equipment
  • Oversee all electrical apprentices
  • Performs activities of workers supervised.
  • Performs quality control testing of product buildings for compliance to intended operations performance, corrects installation defects and provides process follow-up documentation.
  • Endeavors to create a workplace environment that is enjoyable, engenders pride in the product and focus on the customer, and provides room for individual responsibilities and ideas. State of Wisconsin Master Electrician License is required
  • Willing to work overtime, as needed
