This position will support our Trachte facility in Madison, WI. As a part of nVent, Trachte is a leading manufacturer of highly engineered metal buildings for industrial and commercial applications. Today, nVent connects and protects our customers with inventive electrical solutions. We design, manufacture, market, install and service high performance products and solutions for mission-critical equipment, buildings and essential processes. Offering both prefabricated and on-site building capabilities, framed and frameless building construction types, and products ranging from build kits and modular units to fully engineered integrated buildings.

  • Prepares clear, complete and accurate working plans and detail drawings from project specifications, rough or detailed sketches or notes by performing the following duties. Makes final drawing packet based on Trachte job specifications.
  • Ensures uniformity of design standards within dimensions, scaling text and proper computer assisted drafting (CAD) operations.
  • Makes any adjustments or changes necessary or desired by the customer or Project Manager.
  • Uses CAD equipment and software (Solidworks).
  • Maintain job log and historical references.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Endeavors to create a workplace environment that is enjoyable, engenders pride in the product and focus on the customer, and provides room for individual responsibilities and ideas.
  • Must be able to work on-site 3 days a week in our Madison, WI office.
  • Design - Translates concepts and information into images, uses feedback to modify designs, Applies Trachte design principles.
  • Teamwork - Balances team and individual responsibilities, contributes to building a positive team spirit, able to build morale and group commitments to objectives, supports Trachte's efforts to succeed.
  • Adaptability - Adapts to changes in the work environment, manages competing demands, able to deal with frequent changes, delays, or unexpected events.
  • Attendance/Punctuality - Is consistently at work and on time, ensures work responsibilities are covered when absent, arrives at meetings and appointments on time.
