Job Description:

• The System Administrator (SA) is responsible for effective provisioning, installation, configuration, operation, and maintenance of systems hardware and software and related infrastructure. This individual ensures that system hardware, operating systems, software systems, and related procedures adhere to standards, ensuring maximum productivity for IT staff and users.
• Administer physical and virtual servers, focusing on Windows servers running on VMware.
• Manage Active Directory, ensuring security, backup, and recovery in the plant environment.
• Collaborate with the Information Security team to protect systems from threats.
• Work with engineering teams to implement changes while following IT change management processes.
• Troubleshoot system issues and collaborate with vendors as needed.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to IT teammates in systems administration and troubleshooting.
• Managing the interaction between a Windows Environment and Linux based Servers.
• Developing and maintaining shell scripts and command-line tools

Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience with Windows, Linux, and VMware environments.
• 3+ years experience supporting VMware's vSphere and Microsoft HyperV
• 5+ years experience with Shell scripting
