We are currently seeking an experienced IT Procurement Specialist to join our team serving clients in REMOTE, Victoria, British Columbia (CA-BC) or REMOTE, Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada (CA). This position can be fully remote or hybrid but is expected to work within standard PST business hours.

The IT Procurement position supports our clients to identify, define, scope, and run procurements for IT implementation services and IT capital assets. You will work closely with financial officers and legal counsel, and work to align IT procurement with strategic objectives, timelines, and budget constraints.

Once You Are Here, You Will:
Prepare IT procurement strategies that aligns with the goals of our client's IT programs, needs, and budgets.
Conduct analyses of current market conditions, and current environment of client IT operations and investments.
Identify gaps and opportunities and recommend optimal solutions for IT procurement.
Manage and execute the end-to-end IT procurement process, from planning and sourcing to delivery and installation.
Evaluate risk, assess and prepare procurement options for services and assets, prepare forecasts, scenarios and define other factors concerning procurement, and write reports and recommendations
Provide research and input into the financial sourcing aspects of contracts and calls for tender when information is not readily available
Identify high impact cost optimization opportunities that maximize value for our clients while ensuring the quality and reliability of IT products and services
Leverage the organization's buying power to optimize costs, access new suppliers, reduce lead times, and guarantee supply
Develop and maintain relationships with existing and potential buyers and suppliers to the organization
Develop and run tenders for procurements, consult with suppliers and review quotations and responses, and manage awards and contracts
Determine or negotiate contract terms and conditions, award supplier contracts or recommend contract awards
Monitor delivery progress and contact clients and suppliers to resolve problems
Ensure IT procurement activities adhere to relevant legal and regulatory frameworks, such as data protection, intellectual property, and licensing requirements
Establish robust systems for tracking and reporting IT procurement costs
Assess and mitigate risks associated with IT procurement
Required Qualifications
A track record of supporting a large organization's IT Procurement, defining procurement strategy and implementing
Experience with being responsible for managing multi-million dollar IT budgets
Experience with IT service and capital asset procurements
Experience designing and running more than four IT procurements.
Established formal relationships with vendors in your local supplier community
Experience with working with legal and finance staff to create, negotiate, and manage contracts with values over C$1M.
A bachelor's degree or college diploma in business administration, commerce or economics or equivalent experience
Strong communications with a passion for knowing the status of investments and for measuring performance and outcomes.
Proven ability to identify risks and issues and define actionable mitigation strategies
