We are currently seeking a Healthcare Consulting Managing Director to join our team in Chicago, Illinois (US-IL), United States (US).

Our healthcare consulting organization focuses on delivering high-impact business results for both health plan and healthcare provider clients. We work directly with client executives as they look to transform their organizations and improve the healthcare experience of their key constituents (members, providers, employees, agents/brokers, patients, et.al.). To help these healthcare leaders solve some of their most interesting and difficult challenges, we bring together our passionate, multi-disciplinary team. The senior health plan consulting leader will partner closely with the business development team to create and execute a go-to-market strategy to drive market demand for strategy and advisory services and expand consulting services at existing accounts.

NTT DATA is seeking a dynamic Healthcare Consulting Leader to contribute to our healthcare consulting practice. The healthcare consulting leader will bring proven consulting experience developing and delivering improved business and operating model outcomes key capability enhancements (e.g., advanced analytics, AI, and automation) and modernized enablers (e.g., CCaaS, CRM, Analytics platforms, etc)? They will also bring leadership skills and experience implementing innovative approaches and solutions for leading healthcare organizations by effectively positioning internal offerings and prioritized Alliance GTM partnerships. This is a national role and does not need to be in a specific geography.

Responsibilities:

  • Earn the trust of senior leaders at health plan organizations and partner with them to create impactful solutions at the intersection of strategy, operations, and enabling technology
  • Consulting business development in health plans with the ability to influence decisions by applying strong subject matter expertise and relevant experience - resulting in trusted partner status and repeatable revenue streams
  • Serve as thought leader in the industry by publishing perspectives, presenting at conferences, etc. while being viewed by clients as a credible healthcare and technology executive who can assess and drive change
  • Think strategically with proven experience creating strategies and developing products and/or services
  • Create internal partnerships with technology and managed services sales and delivery teams to create pull-through revenue opportunities
  • Provide leadership and direction on one or more active engagements while maintaining a high-quality level of service - managing the engagement budget and resources to deliver high quality products while adapting to changing client needs and timelines
  • Problem-solver (identification of issue, causes, solution options) and strong oral and written communicator who can quickly process complex information and present it clearly and simply while injecting creativity throughout presentations
  • Data and financial analysis experience to demonstrate ROI, create business plans, and obtain necessary capital/project funding
  • Develop marketing/sales collateral and proposals/statements of work that bring the best of NTT DATA and the entire NTT Group to the healthcare industry
  • Excellent leadership, organizational, decision making and team building skills to manage dispersed and matrixed teams and mentor/develop junior consultants


Qualifications
  • 15 years of health plan experience (a combination of industry and consulting will be considered) and strong knowledge of healthcare sector overall and healthcare core functions and products (Commercial, Medicaid, Medicare)
  • 10 years of consulting experience building deep client relationships, identifying client's priority needs, and developing, pursuing and closing consulting opportunities
  • 8 years of experience managing teams, building collaborative relationships with external and internal partners, and developing new and enhancing existing c-suite relationships
  • 5 years of experience designing, building, and/or deploying digital assets (including advanced analytics, AI, and automation) and providing overall guidance on quantitative analysis and research to generate recommendations and insights
  • BA or BS, Advanced Degree (e.g., MBA, MPA, MHA, MS) preferred
  • Ability to travel as needed (up to 50%)
