We are currently seeking a Field Tech Analyst-Datacenter Management / Server Hardware to join our team in Bangalore, Karnātaka (IN-KA), India (IN).

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Analysis of the project requirement (hardware, Intel & Sun, HP, IBM, EMC etc.)

• Strong Customer relationship building skills. Ability to manage complex Customer problems.

• Must have strong knowledge of HP Proliant\Blade, Oracle and Dell PowerEdge servers.

• Sound knowledge of ESD working practice

• Sound knowledge of general Health & Safety

• DESIRABLE SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS for a Server Hardware Engineer

• Co-ordinate with OEM for getting the server hardware spare

• Co-ordinate with remote location team for server/storage installation

• Server/storage installation activities

• Governance for the rack & stack, power & Cable connectivity

• Hardware Uptime Report - SIGMA Trend

• Overview of hardware and tech room activity

• Review for Hardware Failures Trend Analysis

• Review complete device inventory with cost details for Insurance coverage.

• Participate in Audit calls (ISO, IA, NSE, BSE etc....)

• Power Load & Consumption Details

• Vendor coordination for Network and Fiber Cabling for Tech rooms

• Device movement, redeployment of the assets and disposal of EOL assets

• Understanding for LTO media, tape library, media backup and restore.

• Inventory management.

• Knowledge of data center environment like power, cooling, humidity

• Preparation of Rack elevation for new device installation.

• To ensure all calls are resolved within the agreed SLA, ensuring calls are escalated when required and customers are updated, until the call is resolved and closed.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree from an authorized university.
  • Relevant server certification will be an added advantage.
  • Minimum 2-3yrs of exp for L1 position and 3-5yrs of exp for L2 position.
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Basic understanding of ITIL Framework is a must (SLA, CHG, Problem, and incident mgmt.)
  • Strong interpersonal skills and high awareness of customer needs.
  • Knowledge on ticketing tool preferrable ServiceNow.
  • Willingness to work in rotational shifts 24*7 environment.
  • Travel including overnight domestic may be required.
