We are currently seeking a Azure Data Lake Support Technical Lead - REMOTE to join our team in St Louis, Missouri (US-MO), United States (US).

Team Leader and Technical Leader of Azure Cloud Data Engineering Tier 1 Support Team

We are currently seeking an EDL Tier 1 Support Leader to form a new offshore Support Team. The team will have responsibility for monitoring and responding to the issues or failures in the Cloud Data Engineering processes for data processing and loading. Data loading and processing occur as either API, Streaming or Batch processing. These data processes are critical to retain data freshness and continuity across a large Microsoft Azure EDL. The Microsoft Azure data sources are critical for business reporting, critical business decisions and revenue generating operational processes.

Day to Day Responsibilities:
  • Lead an offshore team in support of the data processing for a large Microsoft Azure EDL Tier 1 organization. Leader is also required to be a technical Cloud Data Engineer and team leader.
  • Report to account leadership on status and escalations. Collaborate on areas of continuous improvement.
  • Liaison with the customer EDL service delivery and domain teams to appropriately lead the offshore team of technical support engineers.
  • Mentor the offshore team to train on appropriate handling of issues resolutions in appropriate time frames. Additionally, initiate escalations to maintain the required service delivery guidelines.
  • Monitor, report and track incident and problem management for trending, improvement and proactive avoidance of future issues.
  • Champion leadership with continuous improvement.


Minimum Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 10 Years experience in data warehouse star schema design, ETL development and SQL
  • Minimum 3 Years Experience as a team leader or technical team mentor.
  • Minimum 3 Years experience working with offshore teams in a mentor or leadership role
  • Minimum 8 years experience in Cloud Data Engineering Support roles preferably in Microsoft Azure
  • Must have 1 year Cloud Data Engineering Support of a Microsoft Azure Data Warehouse.
  • Minimum 3+ years experience with Incident and Problem Management preferably using ServiceNow.


Other Skills:
  • Must have good oral and written communication skills to effectively communicate with various customer IT teams and business representatives in addition to the EDL Tier 1 support engineer team. Request to provide examples.
  • Knowledge of API's along with Azure Functions, Scala, Python, Azure SQL DB and Azure App Insights.
  • Knowledge of Streaming Support with Event Hub, Databricks Cluster, Cosmos DB, Scala, Azure SQL DB and Azure App Insights.
  • Knowledge of Batch Support with Databricks, Python, Microsoft Data Factory, Azure App Insights, IWS Job Scheduling
  • Knowledge of automated and scheduled batch job tools such as IBM IWS and Control-M.
    • Must be able to both collaborate in a team-oriented environment and work independently with direction.
    • Experience with Microsoft Azure platform technologies like Databricks applications, Event Hub, Data Factory, Scala, Azure App Insights, Synapse Analytics, Delta Lake, Cosmos DB, or DevOps
  • Knowledge of Data Product Hygiene and be able to champion this in your work.
  • Support Security and Audit Compliance initiatives related to the Microsoft Azure environment
  • Experience with Big Data solutions and no SQL DBMSs

Where required by law, NTT DATA provides a reasonable range of compensation for specific roles. The starting pay range for this remote role is $108,472 - 200,875. This range reflects the minimum and maximum target compensation for the position across all US locations. Actual compensation will depend on a number of factors, including the candidate's actual work location, relevant experience, technical skills, and other qualifications.
